Why did God not reveal to the Jewish leaders that the saviour he promised them was already among them?

So, what if Jesus of Nazareth was just a Muhammed Yusuf of his time, who formed a group of followers and started some erroneous teachings like the Nigerian Boko Haram? And even when He was killed, his brainwashed followers continued to preach he was God until Emperor Constantine swallowed the hook and made Christianity the state Religion of Rome and in extension that of the West?

The gospel of Luke or John (don’t recall which) said that after Jesus was laid in a tomb and covered with a stone, the Jewish Authorities sent soldiers to watch the tomb to see if Christ will resurrect like He said. It is said that these soldiers ‘fell asleep’ and woke up to see that Christ had resurrected but they went and ‘lied’ to the Pharisees that Jesus’ disciples came and stole him.

What if Jesus’ disciples actually came to steal him from the tomb just to make sure that what He said of resurrection comes to pass?

That's why the Israelites keep expecting these promised Messiah until they were enslaved in Egypt and God raised Moses as a saviour to rescue them, but for them to know that Moses is not the promised Messiah God told the Israelites that a prophet like Moses will be raised among them so that's the Messiah they should listen to! Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah will be accused and executed like a common criminal {Isaiah 53:12} this actually happened to Jesus of Nazareth!
Moses was the first prophet ever known from the time Israelites became a nation, we can also borrow a leaf from his prophecy regarding the Messiah. In his prophecy Moses emphasized that the people must LISTEN to the Messiah because all those who failed to do so will loose God's favour {Deuteronomy 18:19} then he continued by telling them how to recognize a false prophet perhaps they may be confused regarding the appearance of the Messiah:

However, you may say in your heart: “How will we know that Jehovah has not spoken the word?” When the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word is not fulfilled or does not come true, then Jehovah did not speak that word. The prophet spoke it presumptuously. You should not fear him! Deuteronomy 18:21-22

Jesus prophesied a lot but noteworthy is the prophecy regarding God's promise of the Holy Spirit which will eventually occur immediately after the Messiah has offered the ultimate sacrifice! Joel 2:28-30
Even Jesus' disciples were still sceptical about him not until the day of pentecost when this prophecy came to fulfilment {Act 2:1-3} until that day Peter and the rest were still confused whether Jesus is the Messiah or not but after that day they were fully prepared to lay down their lives for the course because Jesus actually promised them that he will SEND the Holy Spirit when he gets back to heaven! John 14:25-29; 16:12-14
This is why those few seemingly gullible Jews were prepared to die for Jesus because they had the assurance apart from all what Jesus did in their presence that he is truly the Messiah or Christ!
