The person you quoted mentioned being an only heir to a estate and family holdings. That was NOT your point. You never said so. The only condition you gave was opened. Being an only son of a parents or of a single parent.

But if you can move into the estate of your wife's parents, as she's the only one there to run and keep a hold over things, just say yes, you can or will, and I'll drop this.

If the wife you intend to marry is the one inheriting this big generational house and she CANNOT leave it alone to go rent an apartment somewhere else, will you pack in with her?

It's a simple question too, my friend. Just answer. Abi you think a woman cannot be in such position? If it is not about having privacy and more about making a compromise, then why can you not do such yourself?

If he can't leave the family house bc he is an only child or bc he can't leave his mother then he shouldn't get married, he should remain single or marry his mother. it is the woman that move to the husband's house, it's the woman that answer the husband's name.

You can speak for yourself, we have ladies that are living with their mother in-law and they are living peacefully. Even my eldest brother is married and he is the only one in the family house with his mother, and after the marriage the wife is living with him in that family and no hell was loose.
