Last time I went there for some research work, I was shown the building which were already constructed for that purpose, even the fencing of the school. Unfortunately, the buildings are currently being left to rot and infrastructure destroyed

The name of the school has been changed to Kingsley O Mbadiwe University (KOMU).

Rochas wanted to establish a University in that site but Ihedioha jettisoned the idea, though there's another structure like that at Nwangele LGA meant for University of Creativity and Culture, and the faculty of Engineering IMSU at Umuna Okigwe though Hope Uzodinma has indicated interest to relocate the school of engineering to that site.

Why did I say so? The last time news of this construction came up few years back, you'll be surprised many people instantly started building along the road just so they will collect compensation from government when their buildings are demolished. I'm referring to MOST of the filling stations along that road. They just sprung up all of a sudden.

I was at owerri airport very recently and I didn't see any work at the cargo section. That airport can hardly handle the traffic in the Aba-owerri axis. it needs a bigger terminal and an aviation fuel depot.

Nice project! This is how all new estates in Owerri and other major cities in the state should be built! Would have been better if the apartment blocks were a bit taller, to maximise the use of the land...say 7 to 10 stories high!

Rochas okorocha, built cargo terminal, including about 9 warehouses, apron etc, the project was commissioned but was about 90% completed, Hope Uzodinma is trying to complete it now. There's currently no work going on the passenger terminal section as alluded by the commenters.
