I thought there was a time Hope started planting trees in the middle dividers. Seems that practice has stopped
Tree planting was inside the city, the section shown above is around Orodo Egbeada axis

For real? That's really nice. Please, is it still bearing the same name or has the name been changed?

It'll definitely open up the Community it is occupying.

There was a plan to build a poly or whatever at Ahaiara Technical college, in Mbaise. I wonder why that plan was shelved.

Last time I went there for some research work, I was shown the building which were already constructed for that purpose, even the fencing of the school. Unfortunately, the buildings are currently being left to rot and infrastructure destroyed

The name of the school has been changed to Kingsley O Mbadiwe University (KOMU).

Rochas wanted to establish a University in that site but Ihedioha jettisoned the idea, though there's another structure like that at Nwangele LGA meant for University of Creativity and Culture, and the faculty of Engineering IMSU at Umuna Okigwe though Hope Uzodinma has indicated interest to relocate the school of engineering to that site.

Sure, I really look forward to such. If Hope can finish it in his tenure, it'll be great. All the contractors have to do is start the road from the two ends, or cut it intermittently the way Ore-Benin road was done.

Also, let them come with the same road width from Fire service junction. Buildings obstructing should be demolished and where they don't have proper documentation, no compensation should be paid. However, those with C of Os should be well compensated.

Why did I say so? The last time news of this construction came up few years back, you'll be surprised many people instantly started building along the road just so they will collect compensation from government when their buildings are demolished. I'm referring to MOST of the filling stations along that road. They just sprung up all of a sudden.

Watch how some other set of people will start building now that this news is up again

I think Hope will certainly maintain the dualized width of Egbu road, he won't like to incur extra charges.

Hope Uzodinma desperately needs funds the Oguta sea port project is ambitious, he is laying pipelines to industrial layouts, currently reviving the abandoned cargo section of Owerri airport etc.

Soludo was right when he said that all the ipob terrorists terrorising igboland are from imo state. Grgton come and carry your cursed backward useless shithole state that's cursed with terrorists.

A list of militants and commanders terrorising people of the South-East region has been published by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

This was contained in a statement signed by IPOB’s spokesman, Emma Powerful, on Tuesday, according to DailyPost.

According to Powerful, the unknown gunmen are members of the local Ebubeagu security team and self-acclaimed members of the Eastern Security Network (IPOB’s military wing).

He listed their names as Chibuike Igwe; Paul Udenwa; Okwudili Dim (aka) One Nigeria; Sky from Umutanze Orlu and a man nicknamed 2men from Umuna.

Others terrorising Orlu in Imo State include Chinedu Agbaradu-Amagu commander; Cheta odinkenma – Amagu; Uchenna Nwachukwu; Chibyke Gezek Amagu and Chukwudi Odimegwu.

He further listed impersonators of ESN members in Oru East and Njaba LGAs of Imo State as Akiriko Atta; Kingkom. The impersonators of ESN members in Orsu-Ihiteukwa are, The man called Uru; Sky; No one; the Double lion and a man called Commander.

IPOB also placed a bounty on the head of the aforementioned persons.

The statement added, “IPOB is hereby declaring them wanted, and anybody who can give useful information about them will get a handsome reward”.

It also noted that “IPOB has always told the public that the above-mentioned hoodlums are part of the criminalities going on in our land.

“No criminal should be allowed to demonise IPOB. These agents of darkness and their sponsors should be brought to book to pay for their atrocities.”

They are all one and the same! Their intention is to derail Igbo themed threads because they serve as a means to bond and communicate amongst Ndigbo and because they don’t have any of threads of their own that’ve lasted this long! The usual senseless hate and dick measuring for and with Ndigbo!

I was at owerri airport very recently and I didn't see any work at the cargo section. That airport can hardly handle the traffic in the Aba-owerri axis. it needs a bigger terminal and an aviation fuel depot.

waltersmith refinery has a gas component also

As at last month Craneburg construction was working on the bridge, I don't know whether the work has been completed.

Nice project! This is how all new estates in Owerri and other major cities in the state should be built! Would have been better if the apartment blocks were a bit taller, to maximise the use of the land...say 7 to 10 stories high!

Rochas okorocha, built cargo terminal, including about 9 warehouses, apron etc, the project was commissioned but was about 90% completed, Hope Uzodinma is trying to complete it now. There's currently no work going on the passenger terminal section as alluded by the commenters.

If this project goes well and people buy these properties, I am sure the company will build more in Owerri. That's how these real estate companies work. Given the location and the taste of houses, these apartments won't be for average people when it starts selling.

Got info from sources I can't state that waltersmith process gas on site. it doesn't flare them and it's already operational.

Unless you're saying the use the gas to generate power ? if so, why not expand it to supply commercial users ?

no matter what,it seems imo and it's gas industry is about to explode

Don’t think it’s advisable to use gas and explode in the same sentence! It’s akin to shouting ’this chicken dish is da bomb!’ on a plane! shocked
