Hello House

Trust we all had a great Easter holiday.

Real quick,

I have been observing or seeing an increased number of cases where people have received BVL but PPR is pending. Posting this here to see and track success for those who received BVL and decision was received after how many days/weeks and months.

Below are samples that I know of personally:

Submission: Nov 10th
Biometrics: Nov 12th
Medical request: March 15th
BVL: March 24th
No Final Decision yet

Application Submission Date 11 January 2022
Upfront Medical Passed 23 March 2022
Eligibility Started 1 April 2022
BVL/Correspondence Letter dropped 14 April 2022
No Final Decision yet

It has been observed that this is a recent operation of the IRCC officials , what I dont know is if its only Limited to the Nairobi Office or its across all IRCC centers ..

If your application falls in this recent operation, please let the house know so we can eventually know the outcome of these affected applications, cos to be honest it hasnt been easy for these Applicants.. IRCC doing what it knows how to do best, giving young Nigerans High Bp..

It will all end in praise..

Peace

Good afternoon sir, my name is Firdaus. I was told about Nairaland when I started my whole Canada international school application. I’ve been reading this thread for about three weeks now. I just seems like most of what is here is based on the post graduate process. I’m 17. I really need your assistance for the sake of my application. So I’ve applied to my school which is a college by the way in Ontario, I’ve paid my tuition and I did my upfront medical exam at qlife family clinic. I need your help regarding attaining my study visa

When is the appropriate time to take your PCR Covid test before departure please note I am going on a 24hr journey.
Any facility at Abuja that can deliver results fast and is accepted

If you are fully vaccinated then no need for Covid test... it has been scrapped since April 1

Please i am looking for a PGD in human resources that lasts for more than 12 months. I have found schools like Cambrian college, and Camosun college but they are all 12 months. As you all know, to get PGWP of more than 1 year, your program has to be more than a year. Please if anyone knows any pgd programs in HRM that is about 16 months, please let

It is for my sister who has a 2.2 bachelors in mass communication and just finished NYSC last year.

Good evening everyone, I am Patrick by name. Someone refer me to this trend and I have read a lot of studying in Canada tips and also testimonies. Thanks to all that have been making things easy for people like me and Congratulations to all those that have gotten their PPR. I can’t wait to come and share my testimony soon.

Now to what brought me here

I want to apply for Masters in any of these 3 schools (Thompson Rivers University in BC) (University of New Brunswick) and (Memorial University Newfoundland)

But before I go ahead, I have some questions and I’ll really appreciate if I can get answers. Thanks

1. Please which of the schools above will you recommend? (Acceptance rate, standard of living e.t.c)

2. I will be 36years this year, Is it advisable to go through study route?

3 I graduated (almost 10years now) with 3.86 cgpa in Applied zoology and environmental biology. And I am willing to do my Masters in Environmental Science/biology/ ecology. But the challenge is I have over 8years experience in marketing. Will my career in marketing not affect my course of study in terms of visa application.?

4. What are my chances of getting study permit because of the 10years gap between graduation, my career path and now that I want to further?

5. How can I go about proof of funds as I will be sponsoring myself and my young family(they will come later)?

Sorry for the long post

@learner246 @olasubomy @omiinii @makano @lekiboboe and others

In response to questions 1, 2, and 5

1. The three schools cited are all okay. Lekiboboe has already responded you concentrate on marketing for now. Based on that, you will be good with any of the schools. Marketing is in high demand in Canada if you have a passion for it, and I see job vacancies for marketing severally in New Brunswick. You can focus on that and then move to your love for science later if you still have the interest by then.

2. Age is no barrier to studying. You are good to go with your age.

5. You will need to have sufficient funds that cover a minimum of 1 year for your tuition and living expenses. The more the funds, the better, but avoid lumpsum deposits. If you have lumpsum deposits, explain those concisely so the VO can understand and attach any relevant documentary proof. You don’t need to mention that your family will go with you in your application. Let the application be about you alone. Your family can be used as a home tie. If you are married with kids, you will need to demonstrate that they will be sufficiently catered for in your absence, e.g. your wife having a job to cater for herself and the kids. But let the tone of your SOP give the impression you intend to come back home to your job and family.

Await other responses and suggestions.

All the best!

Thanks so much for this contribution. God bless you.
JustMellow:

Hello Ayatunde,

You can consider these points:

• An infant child that needs the cradle of the mother;

• Attached mother-child bond;

• The difficulty experienced during the pregnancy period, labour, birth (if it was high risk, state it), etc.;

• Being with your infant child will help your focus on your studies;

• The care of the infant child under the watch of others can't be the same as yours—the mother;

• The father is inexperienced and you can't leave the child behind for your mother or spouse's as you wish to breastfeed (your child for a long while) due to professional recommendation;

n.b. Don't mention your spouse is very busy if there is no nanny or parents' around to watch over your other children left behind, and;

• The child is attached to your presence.

P.S. Know that you have to demonstrate sufficient funds and the provisions to be made in Canada to secure a daycare or nanny to care for the child while you study to avoid distractions. If possible, ensure you explain your reasons for traveling with your child in 2 – 3 sentences to avoid providing unnecessary information.

Best of Luck

Dear NL Family,

What could be the implication(s) of starting/submitting a fresh study permit application, especially when the IRCC has not given me any update regarding my request for the withdrawal of an application I had submitted on April 12, 2022? Note that the withdrawal request was made within 24hrs of submitting my application.

Please, I'd be very grateful to receive some urgent pieces of advice and guidelines on this question from the gurus here: Lekiboboe, Justmellow, Makano and other persons with useful ideas about my question.

Thanks.

I have thought about it, just curious because of the Neco, I have also check information about the school and they provided info about the minimum requirement of Mid- B, English proficiency test, and others: but no information about High school result
check the department you want to go to, look for one of the lecturer’s or admission officer’s email and send an email ask if they accept neco result and also let them be specific about their cgpa requirement, so u no go waste your application fee, you can always ask them any question huh, different schools with different requirements, I personally used WAEC
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by dchamps: 3:29pm On Apr 20, 2022
You should have sent an email to the school. They extended my payment by 2 weeks when i had same issue with bank and i sent the evidence. They were even willing to give me more time if it wasn’t resolved
Priceless25:
I am livid right now.. so I got admission with CNC since Feb 2022, filed for form A, it was taking time (7 working days) to move from the first stage, a friend of mine tried with union bank and it got to the disbursement stage within 24 hrs. I then decided to use Keystone bank based on some experiences I read here and it got to the disbursement stage in 2 weeks but since March, that's where it has been, I've called the bank multiple times, sent a litany of emails explaining my situation (School gave me 30 days to pay tuition). Despite my best efforts, it wasn't resolved and just this morning I gave a mail from my school, rescinding my admission. Keystone bank really gave me a 2022 to remember.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by Lezy: 3:31pm On Apr 20, 2022
Ok, thanks.

I will fill, validate and type in my name and upload then.

DestinationCann:
It depends on the type of form. The instruction is usually there that You should print and sign if Yiu are to print and sign.

However, most require that Yiu fill, validate and out your name in the signature space then validate. You don't have to print and sign.

Do you have an idea when the May can open
So I can keep stalking the page.

When there are unconfirmed appointment slots, they reschedule/update the site and make the new unconfirmed dates available for booking so you should keep checking, you might get a date in April and if not, the available dates in May will show up. I'm sure an update is ongoing. Just check later

For Christ sake, how can you send 100 mails to someone in one day? If I'm the VO i wont approve your Visa. Cos you go be like who go disturb Canada peace.
That is if the VO job is to reply to mails @ webform..the agents responsible to.. don’t even have more access to applicants case files...they may only pass information...where needed!
That is 100 mails to ircc agent!@ client support centre

@dchamps.. I actually sent them a mail explaining the situation, a two week extension was given but Keystone for reason didn't process my funds till this moment, went to the bank today after calling Keystone banks to get the zonal manager, you won't believe that it's today that they've looked at my form. I'm just hoping that I get the disbursement process resolved so I can send the Telex copy to the school seeking reinstatement.

Hi everyone, please I call on experienced people to help on this;

What explanation can I give for taking my 20months old toddler with me on a study permit while writing my SOP?

NOTE- I'm leaving my husband and two older children back home.

Why do you need to explain to anyone why you're taking your infant baby with you? Are you supposed to leave the baby in the first place?
