Ediotic anu mpama but you are not worried about the war between ipob terrorists and the military going on in your useless backward imo state, instead you are now carrying fake news. I have been watching you to comment on the disaster going on in imo state but you went dumb. [s] asha80:[/s] |

[s] asha80:[/s] Show me where you have commented on the war going on in your imo state. Imo your state has been turned to war zone but you haven't made any post about it on imo thread, but you are here deceiving yourself with your lies. Infact, you all went along as if nothing happened. Now you are running around here to tell us about levy, when your imo state has been taken over the terrorists. Fool.. |

Imo is under heavy war and I think it has affected most imo indigenes, what are you guys waiting for to start flushing these guys out. Hope cannot do it alone when the indigenes are not providing information to the security agents asha80: |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by ShaoIin77: 8:40pm On Apr 20, 2022 |
Ipob/esn leaders outside Nigeria are the ones coordinating attacks in imo state via their willing foot soldiers who are mainly from imo state. Most of the esn/ipob terrorists commanders are from imo state. There was a list released few days ago which exposed most of them Afonjakid: |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by ShaoIin77: 8:55pm On Apr 20, 2022 |
There are several ipob terrorists camps in imo state. What's the indigenes waiting for before they come forward with the information. The reason there's so much insecurity in imo state is because indigenes are not talking nor taking any action. asha80: |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by ShaoIin77: 9:10pm On Apr 20, 2022 |
Most of those ipob terrorists live among the people in imo state. They are no longer hiding. Most communities in imo state now pay tax to those terrorists to avoid harm on them. The situation has got to the point federal government should declare a state of emergency in imo state Afonjakid: |

Power remains one major hindrance to the development of Okigwe zone and we are taking every step possible to solve the problem. Our determination to curb power shortage in and around our zone is unwavering. The 60Kw solar mini grid project Which we targeted to power rural Ihitte Uboma communities of Umuchiaku and Lowa not connected to PHCN power grid has been completed. Also, electric poll installation has commenced from some parts of Obowo LGA. Our target is to fix all power related challenges on or before August 2022. It's my desire to see that our challenges are being sorted out one step at a time. Senator Frank Ibezim KSC 1 Like

sanctity454: Not really. Once a city can have standard roads(main/street/sidewalks), sewage/drainage system(covered), organized housing, accessible transport system, portable water, steady power supply and a professional security outfit, they are good to go 2 Likes |

sanctity454: Even though this project is commendable, I still don't like the idea of giving legislatures money to execute what they call constituency projects. That constituency project is another phrase for a looting channel. Legislatures should focus on formulating laws, while the federal ministry of works delivers federal infrastructure to rural communities. I thought that Buhari - as a president who claims to be fighting corruption - would have some guts to stop some of those nonsense. Now, those national assembly members are considering making constituency projects legal through legislation. If any senator or representative wants to execute a project in their local community or district, they should use their personal money or huge allowances to do it. 1 Like |

SmartPolician: That's what you get in a dysfunctional society, when you should have the counties or municipalities execute these projects. All the talk about autonomy seem to me a serial charade |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by SmartPolician: 8:35am On Apr 21, 2022 |
ProudImolite: IMO, it's about giving Imo State a decent look. When you go to places like Lekki, you see a decent environment different from the one we are used to in Nigeria. If the US and Europe can have a decent environment, we should replicate it here. That, in my opinion, is the essence. Someone may probably have a better explanation. @ 1st Pix below: Aren't you tired of seeing this big joke as an estate? The world is moving and we have to keep pace with the trend. 2nd pix, now check out what Lagos State government is building! 4 Likes

sanctity454: then let hope complete the series of high rises okorocha began in owerri. I think they are at the 3rd or 4th floor . Also, completing the abandoned multi-car park structure along bank road will be another good idea. But I don't believe Hope will complete them because Rochas started them. 2 Likes |

SmartPolician: The second picture is good but my problem with your idea is based on restrictions; why can't this buildings be replicated on the regular streets? That is what development is all about. You hear of collapsed buildings now and then in Lagos because they have failed in their responsibilities to enforce laws on specifications. Go back there after 5years, this buildings built by government would have become a shadow of itself. Why Because it was meant for immediate profit and not really development. |
Re: Few Pics From Imo State by SmartPolician: 11:27am On Apr 21, 2022 |
Broveens42:@ the emboldened: I am not sure I understand that. As regards poor regulation, it's a general Nigerian problem. However, I always tell people that because everyone is doing something doesn't make it right. If Lagos State refuses to appoint capable people to regulate building constructions, it doesn't necessarily mean that Imo State should follow suit. Adighi eji mgbagbu ghara ogu. We cannot shy away from doing what's critical because of poor regulation. One thing we have all agreed on all South East threads on Nairaland is that we need to judiciously utilize lands in the region for posterity. If that will be achieved, governments and real estate developers must start constructing blocks of storey buildings as opposed to these short, 18th-century-looking bungalows. Lastly, Lagos State government partners with private investors (PPP) to build some of those beautiful houses. If that's the case, maintaining them won't be a challenge because they are partly people's private businesses. 1 Like |

SmartPolician: You do not understand the bolden because your idea of development could be putting two before one. Fear of land scarcity shouldn't be an issue in the quest to building mid-rise houses, because you can demolish and upgrade in future. Development of a place should be foundational; standard roads, organized housing, land scaping, standard sewage/drainage(covered), steady power(lightening at night), ease of transportation(organized). If you follow the above strictly, there is no how this places won't look very beautiful to you on-site(not just pictures) |
