CharitoJames:
These are questions you ask the institution before applying for admission. Email them and ask if you can secure admission with such Cgpa. I disturbed Memorial for more than a month before I finally applied after i was sure I would get admitted and that was it, i got admitted. Okay thanks, I’ll do this from now on. |

It's just that thesis based always get more opportunities compare to course based. Before a Course based student would receive funding, it would have gone round among thesis based first. Thesis based can go for PhD directly, while course based can't. 1 Like |

Onaya: Dear NL Family,
What could be the implication(s) of starting/submitting a fresh study permit application, especially when the IRCC has not given me any update regarding my request for the withdrawal of an application I had submitted on April 12, 2022? Note that the withdrawal request was made within 24hrs of submitting my application.
Please, I'd be very grateful to receive some urgent pieces of advice and guidelines on this question from the gurus here: Lekiboboe, Justmellow, Makano and other persons with useful ideas about my question.
Thanks. Hello Onaya, There is no implication. Each time a new application is submitted, a new application number is issued. If an applicant should submit a new application before a withdrawal is finalized, it will not affect the newly submitted application as both will have different application numbers. The application number is what will be used to process the withdrawal, not the UCI number. Though the UCI number is used to identify the applicant, the application number is what will be used to track the application. If peradventure you decide to submit a new application before the withdrawal is finalized, and in the case that both applications stay active and a decision is to be made, the determination will be made on the recently submitted application while the previous will be cancelled. Give it a little time maybe till the end of the month. If no update, you can put in the new application. In my opinion, you should wait to get it finalized while you take the time to make the necessary corrections to be made. Applications for the Fall 2022 term can be submitted in May without no consequences of late submission. Best of Luck 1 Like |

These guys don't even update real-time information no more in the GcKey account or GCMS notes making many applicants lose patience and get frustrated. IRCC now conducts background checks and eligibility reviews concurrently on applications. Ensure to go on with your backup plans while you keep hoping for the best possible outcome. Some applicants are also experiencing the same update issues with their biometrics after giving it. Stay focused, and best of luck! 3 Likes |
