CharitoJames:

These are questions you ask the institution before applying for admission. Email them and ask if you can secure admission with such Cgpa. I disturbed Memorial for more than a month before I finally applied after i was sure I would get admitted and that was it, i got admitted.

Okay thanks, I’ll do this from now on.

Hello Motunrayo

BVL - Biometrics Validity Letter

This letter is to notify an applicant of his or her biometric Validity which is 10 years ( Add 10 years to the day you did your Biometrics)

In addition, Most times when a BVL drops, it shows a final decision has been made on your Application either Approval or Refusal..

Peace
MotunrayoD:
Please what is the meaning of bvl, been seeing it posts from people waiting for PPR.

After mine earlier message that u suggest I send email the dept; I sent am email to the dept through the academic coordinator of the dept ( MAccFin) ... and received reply and because of the nature of the course (professional course) , I was directed to have mine transcript assess by CPA to determine my eligibility (Just like am ICAN body in Nigeria)...

I tink this is the hallmark for mine eligibility to apply for the desired program...

Hello all,

At last I got my PPR today after 5 months and 3 weeks , almost 6 months and 26 days after bvl The waiting was excruciating.

Special thanks to the rear gem on this platform @makano. He is truly competent in visa processing. I almost gave up but he gave me some advices yesterday on how to mail IRCC which I followed through and my PPR came within 24 hrs

Infact my application was part of those he posted yesterday with bvl and no PPR for 26 days.

This is my timeline:

Application date: 10th Nov,2021

Biometrics: 12th Nov,2021

Medical request: 15th March, 2022

BVL: 24th March,2022

PPR: 20th April, 2022

Like I said earlier, special thanks to Makano. I am a silent member on this group but I got a lot of information here that helped me. Makano kept reassuring me when I was down.He is vast in the visa processing and also very compassionate. God bless you greatly sir.

God bless everyone here taking their time to share their timelines. I would be an ingrate not to share mine.

For all other waiting, it shall all end in praise

Congratulations! @Makano… pls give me the format to mail this ppl, I’m one of the BVL without decision.

No implication. It's just that thesis based always get more opportunities compare to course based.

Before a Course based student would receive funding, it would have gone round among thesis based first.

Thesis based can go for PhD directly, while course based can't.

Dear NL Family,

What could be the implication(s) of starting/submitting a fresh study permit application, especially when the IRCC has not given me any update regarding my request for the withdrawal of an application I had submitted on April 12, 2022? Note that the withdrawal request was made within 24hrs of submitting my application.

Please, I'd be very grateful to receive some urgent pieces of advice and guidelines on this question from the gurus here: Lekiboboe, Justmellow, Makano and other persons with useful ideas about my question.

Hello Onaya,

There is no implication. Each time a new application is submitted, a new application number is issued. If an applicant should submit a new application before a withdrawal is finalized, it will not affect the newly submitted application as both will have different application numbers.

The application number is what will be used to process the withdrawal, not the UCI number. Though the UCI number is used to identify the applicant, the application number is what will be used to track the application.

If peradventure you decide to submit a new application before the withdrawal is finalized, and in the case that both applications stay active and a decision is to be made, the determination will be made on the recently submitted application while the previous will be cancelled.

Give it a little time maybe till the end of the month. If no update, you can put in the new application. In my opinion, you should wait to get it finalized while you take the time to make the necessary corrections to be made. Applications for the Fall 2022 term can be submitted in May without no consequences of late submission.

Best of Luck

Hello Quin9,

You are right, eligibility may have begun in the background. These guys don't even update real-time information no more in the GcKey account or GCMS notes making many applicants lose patience and get frustrated.

IRCC now conducts background checks and eligibility reviews concurrently on applications. Ensure to go on with your backup plans while you keep hoping for the best possible outcome.

Some applicants are also experiencing the same update issues with their biometrics after giving it.

Stay focused, and best of luck!
