jaybenugo: If the word used is TWITTING then Tinubu did not make any mistake because we can TWIT on Whatsapp or via SMS messaging or by email or even by word of mouth. TWITTING simply means to Tease or taunt (someone), especially in a good-humoured way It can be done via any means of communication and not specifically for Twitter.

Enskynelson: Read the OP my friend. The word used there is TWITTING and not TWEETING. You need to apologize to the person you said was wrong TWITTING is a very correct grammatical expression as used by Tinubu. One can TWIT via any means. In fact you and I are TWITTING via Nairaland right now. It is not an exclusive Twitter thing

Corrupt senile Tinubu and his co evil plotters hired millions of hungry selfish Youths to always be online and standby on social media to counter any statement against them and speaks good of him. Shame!!!. Are we truly ready to revive this country that a human being in his or her normal senses will ever dream of Tinubu to be president of Nigeria? 6 Likes 1 Share |

Let me even ask you,,do you really think we youth are doing us we'll?,,can't we unit like we did during end SARS to get this country a better leader. You don't tinibu being a president won't unlucke this country of the current situation It's only we the youth that can change the narrative. 7 Likes |

Igbofam: The reason vocabulary building/register exists is to properly understand the contextual use of words. If you're talking of social media, the most applicable word is tweeting. As simple as that. Let's stop finding excuses for Tinubu. I'm 99.99% sure he meant tweeting, but the spelling got lost on a number of people. 3 Likes |

Small people major in minor things. Many of us are opposed to a Tinubu presidency. Idiots like this make our work hard. How has knowing the difference between Twitter and Whatsapp made YOUR own life better or how will that make governing any better. Twitter and whatsapp are Not creations of Nigeria or Nigerians . That is what should concern you more. There are many reasons why Tinubu, in my opinion, is not a fit and proper person to be president of Nigeria. Those bringing up this nonsense are small minded fools who hate Tinubu because he is Yoruba . We will not give them oxygen. The funny thing is they are helping his cause with this nonsense. How many of your fathers know the difference between Whatsapp or Twitter? Is that our problem in Nigeria.? It is just as foolish laughing at a person who speaks poor English ? Is that the issue? Let us talk about why Tinubu's wife is a Senator and his daughter is Iyaloja and Alpha Beta and how he is enriching his family and cronies. What is anybody's business with whether he knows the difference between YouTube and Yahoo Most of the people who know that stuff are jobless and unproductive internet junkies anyway |

DesChyko: Wrong. If you are talking about TWITTER the apt word is TWEETING but if we are talking about simply playfully taunting and having fun conversations via ANY MEDIUM OF COMMUNICATION Then the word is TWITTING (TO TWIT) NOT TWEET See the attached and notice that LEXICO clearly differentiated both. First is TWIT Second is TWEET Get educated!

Tweeting on Social Media right now that is what he means. How many of you have ever handle the mic to address a large crowd then you'd understand the sometimes mis-placement of words and some tension. |
Re: The Moment Tinubu Said 'Tweeting On WhatsApp' (Video) by PericomaNwankwo: 10:29am On Apr 21, 2022 |
Are you okay? What's wrong with the statement? It's very correct. You can tweet on WhatsApp because the word tweet isn't entirely all about Twitter, it has become synonymous with any social media posting activity. |
