davit: Reason I don't do them most times unless I need to change location or get to a preferred destination, most cases once rider informs me it's a delivery I simply tell them 'sorry I don't do deliveries'. Late last month I was at somolu and i got a trip on indriver to 5 Palm Event centre at Oniru, it was a delivery of some printed stuffs like that. On my way receiver called and I told him I was on 3rd mainland bridge, all along I set destination on Bolt 4 where? Notin show. Got to Obanlede I got one trip to Oniru beach I just say make I run am, all na d hustle, the trip gave me 1500 or there about. Got to 5Palm security as usual, I was outside oh called this guy up to 6times he didn't answer I called sender his number was not responsible na so MTN tabbi Airtel talk am This trip on Boot was about 4k+ but rider offered 3.6k or there about, I just managed it because I wanted to be on the island. I just say in my mind l, una don enter today. Security started to look me like say I carry bomb come, why Benz go just come stand here like say... Shey Dem dey use Benz do Uber ni... I supposed that was what he was thinking in his mind because I could tell from the way he was looking at me. I just moved away from the place to a 500m distance and parked. Small time, sender called and was like how far you don deliver? Me: I called no answer, called urs not reachable/responsible. R: guy but na d number I take dey call you so na M: are you insinuating I'm lieing? Guy I've already left, your trip is a fix price and I'm a business man, if you want me to deliver your item you'll have to pay extra or send my initial money then request a ride to come pick it and deliver it to the person. R: Guy you know watin you dey talk self? Watin dey do you self? Does this make any sense to you? M: watin dey do me? Okay. I ended the call. Next receiver called, Rc: pls where are you? M: I'd left, got another request now in phase 1 if you want me to deliver ur item pls make payment of 5k to my aza then I'll bring it right away. Rc: pls just deliver my item pls I need it Next minute I got credit alert 5million I waited like 3minutes drive down to the gate then called him to come pick it, he sent 2 persons. Next time they won't try such with another driver. 6 Likes |

Lush100: No.need to worry except for the rodents because they can eat up some wires and you may start having some electrical failure later. Driver car for a full day or more then disconnect one of the terminal (-ve) b4 going to bed. If not that rodents has turned the place to a sleeping lot due to car not frequently used car can be there for years and any day you come to start it it will start after connecting the battery head. But wait oh, why park such money bag without putting into use, can I contact you for a deal? It you regret it I've trusted hands line up |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Felicity0001: 6:24am On Apr 24, 2022 |
Crvrider: Lush100: I seriously doubt if anything is wrong with ur alternator... Ac was left in by the person who used or warmed the car last... That alone can drain battery out. If not that that battery is still good it wouldn't start the car at all self Alternator is charging reason why the battery light goes off after a little drive but battery is still not well charged reason why the light keeps coming back. It was the AC that was left in that drained the battery. Drive the car for some time. For the rodents, they like cool place, if car is in constant use the engine block can be warm b4 morning so they can't stay there. It's normal for rodents to stay in cars parked for a long while. Even in oyinbo land na same thing reason behind the white rats in Nigeria they where imported along cars from overseas Shikina |

dahflemzy: Is there check engine light on the dash? If yes, scan the car first. It could just be as little as air filter or spark plugs Does the car idle smoothly or roughly. Are you having problems climbing hills?? |
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Pearl1910: 7:19am On Apr 24, 2022 |
Lush100: Alternator isn't charging battery again if your battery light is on when the engine is running. if it happens that u put on the engine with the AC on, ones in a while, it's not a problem but if it's every time, u will damage compressor and weaken ur battery cos AC will draw current from the battery directly at startup before alternator begins to work. 2 Likes |

Felicity0001: Apart from the interior materials and electrical aspects that are inferior, the engine, gear and body is still a Toyota. So no wahala. The thing is anything made in or for Africa is always inferior to the oyinbo version. How did u know I was the one u met yesterday? |

Felicity0001: Just a wild guess on my part. A friend of mine had his battery indicator come up, it turned out the alternator was the culprit. |

THE LEAK Got my hands dirty this morning trying to resolve this issue once and for all. Happens there is a leak no doubt however, it isn't a HOIST leak but a rusted water pipe leak. Please, what's the best adhesive to use on a rusted pipe? I am thinking super glue. The 4min gum I have seems like it won't hold, from past experience using it. 3 Likes |

Pearl1910: Well that's the problem. The pipe runs from underneath the engine somewhere. During the gasket change I think the pipe was disturbed, looking at now, I remember applying glue to it some 2yrs back. |

Crvrider: Replace it now!!! Even if it means bringing down the engine do it. The worst problem that can kill or happen to a man is he not knowing where his problem is coming from. Now that you know the solution is in your hands. Remember my hoist post, I ended by saying it's only the Holy Spirit of God that can help you guys discover where that fault is, and He( the Holy Ghost) did it. He was the one that sent you out that day after parking the car at the office and draw your attention to the water in the ground. 4 Likes |
