Hi guys
So GCMS just got in:
Reason: Purpose of visit

Course studies: Environmental Management

The study plan does not appear reasonable given the applicant's employment and education history.
I note that:
-the client's previous studies were in an unrelated field
-the client has previous studies at a higher academic level than the proposed studies in Canada
-the client's proposed studies are not reasonable given their career path

@Teemenzo @makano @Time2soar1 @Davidbanky @frankrobbn1

I'm interested in handling difficult and complex cases like this with several rejections. This is my expertise!

In view of the above concerns highlighted by the responsible immigration officer, there are strong doubts as to why a graduate of Environmental Mgmt, working as Manager/Supervisor is applying to pursue a PGC in Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness program at Conestoga College. The visa officer is not convinced that you've bona-fide intention to study this course in light of the fact that your employment history and previous degree doesn't demonstrate a reasonable progression. It further raises concerns that you're using study visa as a route to facilitate entry into Canada rather than career advancement.

In a bid to salvage these enumerated concerns of the officer, my professional advice for you is to seek for a master's that is directly relevant to your current employment - Management. Apply this advice of mine in your fourth application with a well-worded LOE put up with encyclopaedia evidence, your application will be a success. All the best

where do you work?, you only wrote manager, you didn't specify whether it is related to the environment. You should know that manager/supervisor of a food company for example, is different to environmental management.
If possible get reference letters from you employer stating your job title and duties. Then write a detailed LOE on how your intended course is related with the job title and duties.
Also, I will advise you pay half or full tuition.
Goodluck

Why opt for a second degree and spend millions to pursue another 4 years course in Canada?. My suggestion is that you should apply for a diploma in practical nursing program (2 years), since you're passionate about having a nursing career. Apply this tactics I have given to you and thank me later cool

Go for PGC in relevant field. Check Conestoga college.

But wait for the gurus to put mouth.

I advice u go for a PGC. Getting admission for masters with 2.2 is possible but difficult. Many of them go chop ur application fee and wont give u admission. Same happened to me. PGC in data analtytics or data science will be great.

Thanks for the info but I think there are few schools that can offer me MBA program admission

Good morning beautiful people .

Please I have a question ?
if you check-in your bags, is it going to your final destination or I have to pick them up and recheck in ?

E.g I’m leave from PHC > Frankfurt > Calgary > Edmonton.

Do I have to recheck my bags at Frankfurt and Calgary?

You won't see your checked baggages until you get to your final destination.

English proficiency is not a requirement for students coming from Nigeria. It is a known fact that Nigeria is an English speaking country and as such the IELTS/TOFEL exams are waived for them.

Good day to guys
Pls I’m about to start my application journey but I have one concern, which is, I’ve been using my father’s name as my surname since my childhood (firstborn) while my siblings are using our family name as their surname, will this affect my home ties in any way?

You must provide a written note (LOE) with respect to the change of name, you can easily make excuse with the point that you're the first born son and according to the custom and tradition of your local community, it is mandatory that the first born son bears the father's name as his surname, for you're the heir apparent to your dad.

From the wisdom of my vast experiences, i will advice you not to apply for a visa when your spouse hasn't landed Canada. The SIN and study permit which are issued at the point of entry are important documents to be included in a Spousal Open Work Permit or Visitor's visa of the accompanying spouse. Should you apply without these documents, your application will not be processed in a timely manner.

On the other scenario you mentioned, I will recommend that your spouse goes first before you can put in for your application to join her in Canada. This will considerably help her application build strong ties back home.

You will hardly find any DLI in Canada that will offer you direct Bachelor’s of Nursing program. You can consider applying to Brandon University at Manitoba, they offer Pre-Nursing Bachelor’s program. Other options is to look at Practical Nursing programs at the diploma level.

Can I do this practical nursing program?
I have BSc in Environmental biology and MSc in Environmental management..

If not, what would be my best bet to enter Canada as a student?

Practical Nursing Program is a diploma course and with your degrees (BSc and MSc) I don't see a reasonable progression. The course you should apply for will be contingent on your work experience and not your previous education.

Good morning all.

I want to apply for a program in Centennial college. It is a post graduate studies. Is this same as master program.

Centennial College do not offer master's courses, what is obtainable from the College is a post graduate certificate/diploma courses.

Niaralanders,
I need guidance.
My spouse applied for study permit in May 2021, with my child last year. She got her Study permit late last year but my son’s application is yet to get a decision. I filled a webform 2weeks ago concerning his application.
Now, we the rest of the family want to apply for our visitors visa. I don’t when is the appropriate time. Is it while she is still in Nigeria or when she gets to Canada?

The best will be when she is in Canada, you can through her influence in Canada apply to visit her. The application will be prioritised rather than applying as a tourist which takes a longer processing times.

it's because you're in canada so by default it is using the Canada's version of the website. Use this
https://www.lufthansa.com/ng/en/homepage
You should then see a Pay at office option during checkout.
If that still doesn't work, then it may be IP issues. You can then tell anyone in Nigeria to book the reservation for you via pay at office option.

Like Sir Frankrobbin1 answered before, english requirement is waived for Nigerians in most schools in Canada. To know if a particular school requires it, you have to check their website site.(check general admission requirements and course requirements.
