The business is quite competitive but God has been really good to us.

I did that already but some people still prefer to pay cash

Someone has access to the safe, I don't believe in money disappearing and reappearing in another place; if so CBN would have closed down.

My advice;
1 More of online transfer
2 Do your calculations very well (account balance/stock take) if possible get a software for that.
3 Any sales/transactions made should be recorded IMMEDIATELY, don't allow piling up of sales.
4 Your wife only should be the cashier
5 Setup CCTV and let the workers know that.

Put salt in the vault.

1. Get a CCTV camera.

2. Ensure all cash from the business is counted and taken to the back before the end of the day.

3. For now see everyone as a suspect. Don’t trust anyone. If need be, monitor your sales person. It’s even possible they give out items worth 50k to their friends for 20k with the intention of sharing the excess.

4. Even when you install the CCTV always encore you monitor the angle of the camera and provide backup electricity for the camera. You will catch the thief.

I for got to add this, proper stock and record keeping is important.

1st... Install a CCTV, although might not really be helpful depending on the location of the shop. If it's in a line in the Market then electricity will be a problem.

2nd...You could be making deposits from sales maybe 3 to 4 times in a day to the bank through POS deposits. One of ur workers can be doing that. It will only cost extra POS charges which is better than losing the whole lot.

3rd...Things that happen around us are even more spiritual than physical, it's not even a matter of whether u believe it or not... E DEY HAPPEN.
Consider doing the charcoal thing that was suggested, I'll also advise u get ASH and sprinkle round all corners of the shop.

1. How did you determine that the workers are innocent?

2. What bookkeeping systems do you have in place? Are you sure you are tracking all your costs and expenses well?
