Thanks a lot. She says the SOWP remains valid as long as the spouse's study permit is valid. What happens when the spouse finishes studying and apply for PGWP? Will the SOWP be renewed/extended? Emmafe: |

My sch uses Western Union Globalpay. I think I was given 3 days to effect the payment too but I have to write them to intimate them abt the processes entail abt making foreign transactions officially from Nigeria: that it takes a minimum of about 14 days. And I was granted. And thank God the transaction went thru within 6 days. You can as well write them as I did and initiate the form A from your domicile branch with the attention of your account officer. I'm sure it will be expedited. All the best! Samtob4life: |

Good morning Nairalanders. I am about to register for CAC. Do I necessary need to link it with a corporate account? If I decide to use my savings account to receive money for the business in as much as it's not more than 500k per day I hope that will not negatively affect my chances of getting approval from IRCC? @Makano, @Frankrobbn1,@Lekiboboe and other guru in the house please chuk mouth. |

sweetchi1011: Ok, thanks very much, but my challenge is that I am yet to even get the student copy from my school due to the ongoing strike by ASUU and non academic staff of universities and the deadline for me to upload the student transcript to be considered for admission is at the ending of this month, I am asking if there anything I can do to enable them to extend my submission date. |

good day all, please i am about applying for my study permit but i need clarification as to whether to attach my pension statement as supporting documents because of the amount i receive as pension as i currently get a monthly payment of #4,500 and have a total of #63,000 as my total balance, is it wise to attach my pension account or should i just leave it out because of the balance since N.B i would be sponsored by a cousin |

Finian1:Note that The date of the business registration on the certificate of registration of business name matters..it may negatively effect your approval if quick to submit application with CAC certificate .. if the CAC certificate is considered, the VO may weigh the date of registration against the date applications is submitted if it is short ..it can be assumed that you are not sufficiently well established in the county of origin. ..since business is registered few months back... While POf is 4 months Bank statement.. You can't use your business account to fund study visa even if the money is your own...it can be an evidence of your business ongoing.... Personal account is better in this case.. |

Jacklens: You can book for an upfront medicals and submit a copy of the E-medical slip with your application package to IRCC. It is a known fact that upfront medicals helps to speed up the application process as you would no longer be waiting for IRCC to send you the request. It will end in praise 2 Likes |

mod1411: I wouldn't advice a married man with kids to submit a "deed of gift" in his application. This would raise concerns that you're not sufficiently well-established in your home country and the officer will question your intention of wanting to study in Canada when you've to seek for external bodies/relatives to help you fund your account. It further increases doubts that your family will not be well catered for in your absence. It will end in praise 3 Likes |

You can reapply for a spousal open work if you have a valid job offer as the PGWP holder, check C41 exemption. In other case, if your spouse is employed, she may get an employer-specific work permit too. Predator188: |

Yes, you can submit your application from the UK, the processing time should be faster. But show home ties. I have 3 people (including 2 friends) that submitted from Saudi Arabia while they were PhD students there, and the applications were approved. They came to restart their PhD in Canada. But an advantage of applying from Nigeria is that, you can claim that you returned to Nigeria immediately after your study in the UK and you will do the same after your study in Canada. Just weigh the options. Beeman3000: 1 Like |
