itsSonia: A recommendation letter has never been a mandatory document in your study permit application. Your employment letter and other documents confirming your employment and competence would suffice. You will also need to explain your source of funds that appeared on your bank statement. |

Male roommate wanted Hello guys Flatmate needed from May 1st in Saint John, New Brunswick (Uptown apartment, 9 minutes walk to MBA campus and close to most amenities) One room is available and goes for $355/month plus utilities(excluding power and internet). This should be good for a student or new immigrant just landing and need a cost-effective place for the next 3 to 6 months (given the way prices of houses have consistently been on the rise). Interested, hola(PM)! |

Johnbravo1994:Even all these brands you mentioned must not be blacklisted and it must be factory unlocked to be usable! The fact that an iPhone, Samsung etc work in Nigeria doesn't mean it'll work over there. You can always run a paid check to know the status of your phone and know if it'll be compatible with networks in Canada. 1 Like |

obaalasepe: Hello Obaalasepe, I don't think there is a need for your spouse to do a Deed Gift, rather ask him to write you a Letter of Support for that amount he will transfer to your bank account. To justify the lump sum from his end, in the letter, he can state the transfer information i.e. name of the recipient, the purpose of the money transfer, account details (from/to), date of the transfer, amount, etc. Also, do the same with a letter. As a married individual, using a sponsor other than your spouse weakens you or your family's (spouse) level of establishment in your home country. In this case, ensure you: • show adequate proof of relationship to the potential sponsor; • pay your full tuition for the first year if your program is 2 years; • include your personal bank account that is sufficient and equivalent to your LE, your and your spouse's employment information including your study leave; • if possible, the funds your spouse is to do a deed of gift should be fixed in a fixed deposit for a liquidation period before or one month to the resumption of classes, with a good reason for setting up the fxd. This is another way to avoid a lump sum. Best of Luck 1 Like |

amila20042001: My opinion is that the deed of assignment is already a legal document. I didn't notarize mine. And I also don't think you need to notarize the Spouse consent letter too. You could if you want but it isn't a necessity. |

2 million is unsubstantial. Liquid funds is what officers will use to evaluate your application. Pls refrain if you can't use liquid funds as POF.Maybe you'd wait till maturity before you proceed with your immigration plans. Good luck. God bless. shankeybee: 1 Like |

Hi Guys, I've been following this thread for a couple of weeks and am ready to start my study permit application for Fall 2022, heading to the University of New Brunswick. I have a couple of questions. 1. Can someone share a valid contact for Police Character Certificate / or redirect to the page where it was posted? I took too many screenshots that I'm having issues with locating the detail I saved for this? 2. Also, I'm a self-funded student - I have a full-term job with the salary being paid into a particular account while I consult as a freelance for companies, and all earnings from my side jobs go into another account, should I move all the funds into the account I can provide payslips for, or provide bank statements for my two accounts to avoid any issue of a lump sum? The earnings in my side account are very regular for almost a year now, and narration carries consulting/retainership/honorarium fees on different occasions. 3. We will travel as a family (hubby & a 4-year-old), but my husband's passport is still under processing (new laws concerning passport renewal and the capture date is still far off), it is advisable I state this in my LOE as we cannot open an application for him now because of the expired passport, and we don't want to delay further since September is almost here? I need your advice please and also a link up with anyone headed to UNB. |

OLAMINREWA: Hello OLAMINREWA, It is not an entirely wrong idea to settle for a Cybersecurity study if you can relate it to your work experience given your UG background in Computer Science. First, restructure your résume/CV to read that you have worked and/or currently working in the IT/Technical/Data Analysis department in your firefighting organization. Your job responsibilities and extra-curricular activities should show you have and still discharging the duties related to or in cybersecurity. Secondly, use your SOP to relate your purpose, intentions, and plans for the study, etc. along with your employment information to corroborate the fact. If you have no idea or are confused about relating or connecting this in your study plan or SOP, if you wish, you can reach out to GCMSWriters on IG, Twitter, or Telegram, for assistance with the writing. On the other note, you can look at Occupational Health & Safety courses or search for institutions that offer firefighting courses. Best of Luck |

1. 0703 061 1055 - Inspector Ronke 2. The two accounts are yours and you have all the proof of source of fund for the two accounts, you don't have to move funds. Submit the two accounts and use the total sum from the two accounts to explain how you intend to fund your study. 3. Wait o. You want to tell IRCC " Hey guys, I will be applying with my family but my hubby's passport is not ready. So imma need you guys to hold a spot for him. When his passport is ready, I will buzz you guys to let you know. Aiit?". Lol. Na joke o, no vex. But on a serious note, my opinion is, you have two options. - Option A : Apply with your kid and without him since his passport is not ready. He serves as a home tie for you. He can then take all the available possible route to join you in Canada after you've gotten your Study Permit. - Option B - Wait till he gets his passport before you submit your family application. I don't think you want this option. Just my two cents. Await the gurus to offer better perspective. Misstolaly: 3 Likes |
