What history says about how Buhari’s successor will emerge - Azu Ishiekwene I think the most frequently asked question today is, who will succeed President Muhammadu Buhari? With over 35 aspirants openly declaring their interest as of today, a few still in the closet and more coming out, the field has never looked more crowded.https://www.thecable.ng/what-history-says-about-how-buharis-successor-will-emerge/amp 48 Likes 9 Shares

The only good thing about our democracy is that it is tenure bound. Buhari must leave, painfully the cabals major headache is a trustworthy successor that will maintain Buhari's laid down hegemony. Their hands are tied this time around, the hegemony must be crushed or 'to your tenth o Israel' 44 Likes 3 Shares |

This significantly captures the history of how the presidential flag bearer of the ruling party has always been chosen and who eventually has won in the general election. I have written earlier on this platform how the most popular and most powerful has always lost out citing the case of Alex Ekwueme and Peter Odili as examples. I cannot agree more with the writer. Perhaps, the power brokers at any point in time are never comfortable with an imposing personality, rather going for somebody they think they can exercise some level of influence. I will not be surprised if history repeats itself. Will it be different this time? No one can be sure. We are curious and watching. 24 Likes 3 Shares |

Even in America, the same thing happens.
Who knew someone like Trump could be president? If this history is anything to go by, then I think it favours Osinbajo. 67 Likes 16 Shares |

You can say anything but as it stands today, tinubu is still the leading candidate for the presidency that's why a particular region mention and castigate him for all of their problems. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

So that after the clueless one does one term, power returns back to the north... Then they will make the drug baron the offer of Becoming VP so that he would take over after the north has done 8 years. Add 12 years to the current age of the peepoo nigga...... Hahahahahahhahaha.... Naija budget will be exhausted on get Adult diapers. You heard it here first... History will play it out 20years later. Una good morning 7 Likes |
