For instance, the Earth is round. If I were to say that the Earth is indeed round and you were to say that 'as far as you are concerned' the Earth is a square and that's 'your truth' would it change the fact that the Earth is round?

The 'truth is absolute' concept has to do with saying that something is the way it is regardless of people's individual opinions about it.

Saying 'truth is relative' means that everyone can just walk around with their own idea of truth. Someone's 'truth' could be that there is nothing wrong with stealing as far as he is concerned. Another person's 'truth' may be that there is nothing wrong with killing someone that offends you. But that doesn't change the fact that those things are indeed wrong.

I don know who formulated it. I also know that Charles Darwin was said to be Christian. But I don't believe they were true believers because if they were, they would have believed the creation story as told in the Bible.

The problem here is that I think the scriptures is folklalore and shouldn't be taken seriously, just like any other folklore. So I really do not take anything in the Bible seriously because alot of things are inaccurate in it.

Then it is fact that the light gives light. In the same analogy, if you live in a place where you dont experience sunlight, the truth will be that the sun does not give YOU light. But the fact remains, the sun gives light.
