Depends on your bank. I know GTB request for MyBankStatement on their internet banking platform while you have to visit a branch to request for MyBankStatement for Access Bank. I personally prefer MyBankStatement. it the size is usually less than 400kb and just 1 page. kennykentipsy: 1 Like |

hevbi: I saved this whole content while going through the thread from page 1.(Apologies, I can’t remember who put it together to give credit to). It should be helpful. You can also google SOPs. SOP (STATEMENT of PURPOSE) with detailed breakdowns and areas to address https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/523#100849022 As a first time applicant, you are to write a STATEMENT OF PURPOSE (SOP) SOP - Statement of Purpose The theme SOP is geared more towards the first time visa applicants. In this case, the applicant will more likely talk about how the advance studies is going to complement past academics and how it will brighten up the future career scope. In addition, various other topics will be addressed such as capability to finance studies & living cost, why particular program, why Canada, why particular institution etc. See link below for SOP Step-by-Step Guidelines & Pointers https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part#88892909 Hints on Writing an SOP (Courtesy domakavelliiiiiii) https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/1#88913289 VERY IMPORTANT CLUES TO NOTE WHEN DRAFTING UR own SOP https://www.nairaland.com/2367106/travelling-canada-part-8/103#35275420 After you are through writing your SOP, you can get across to an experienced member or a guru (if available) to help you proofread & Review your SOP 6 Likes 6 Shares |

Chuksiesmom:Ok Many things might have caused her not to get the admission As required by the department the Pol. Science faculty - Her last two years might not be enough (70% upward ) - Her Statement of intent (also known as SOP for admission) might not be convincing enough. They require 70-75% GPA in her last two years in the University. - Her writing sample in English might not be dope enough etc. - Her not securing a supervisor before applying can be part of why she didn't get the admission - It's possible the admission committee of uvic didn't see course prerequisites that can make her good a fit (eligible) for a Masters in Political Science - Competition as well with others etc. As it is said on Uvics website, she needs to secure a supervisor before applying for the admission, cos most of these Canadian Universities, securing a Prof. makes the application of an applicant solid and it's usually a requirement for a thesis-based Masters in Canada Your niece know her strengths and areas she has ability in. She needs to seat down and do research on the area or areas she knows within herself that she has potentials, Strength in as related to her undergraduate background. Due to what she studied in China, She might want to consider the likes of Masters in Economics Masters in Accounting Masters in Finance MBA Masters in Insurance Masters in Marketing Masters in International Relations with research focus on Economics or International trade Await additional suggestions from others Regards 2 Likes |

Good day, Mr Anon123. Thanks for the professional advice that you continuously give to applicant free of charge, May God bless you richly. I am a graduate of Chemistry, Second class lower. My career path in the last ten years has been more of Site supervision and management. From the Nairaland thread, I realized that the preferred program to go for is a two years PGD. I have checked more than 50 colleges and still counting to search for colleges that have PGD in chemistry related courses, the best fit so far are the 2 colleges stated below: (1) Kwantlen Polytechnic University (Kwantlen University College) Admission requirement : The Technical Management and Services (TMAS) program is designed for emerging technical professionals who have competed a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical program such as applied sciences or information technology Url: https://calendar.kpu.ca/programs-az/business/technical-management-services/ (2) Lambton college Admission Requirements A university degree in Science, Pharmacy or Engineering with appropriate preparation in Maths and Chemistry Url: https://www.lambtoncollege.ca/custom/LambtonApps/Programs/International.aspx?id=2147510964&location=Toronto Please should i expand my search to include business or management program based on my Site supervision and management role, Or which other PGD program should I include in my search? Thanks for your support and prompt response. Anon123: |
