Remo Omokri said that in any nation, only the majority demand power while the minorities negotiate.

Reno Omokri is somehow correct, and that's why Nigeria need zoning to accommodate all geopolitical zones that make up Nigeria and ensure fairness, equity and true unity.

Meanwhile, those who think Igbos are minority tribe in Nigeria must be kids without knowledge. Please go back and check a verifiable and respected global organization's population statistics of Nigeria to update yourself.

In Nigeria, the most populated tribes are:

Hausa
Igbo
Yoruba
Fulani

Ijaw
Tiv
etc

Unfortunately most ignorant Nigerians, especially Yorubas took Buhari's infamous 5% statement in the US when he assumed office as President to mean Igbos are 5% of Nigeria's population, how ignorant and foolish can such a person be? Even without being told, any reasonable human will know that Igbos are the second largest tribe in Nigeria who are also found in every nook and cranny of Nigeria in large numbers competing with the indigenous population of their host community.

But unfortunately, they took Buhari's 5% statement out of context either as a result of ignorance, poor comprehension, tribal hatred, political gimmicks or all of the above.

For those that didnt understand Buhari's infamous 5% statement, Buhari was only saying that out of the total 100% percentage votes he used to win in 2015, that Southeast and Southsouth gave him just 5% and that because of that, he will not treat them the same way he would treat those regions that gave him 95% votes. But as usual, the miscreants decided to misinterpret their dullard President.

Another thing that makes me laugh is when INEC releases voters register by zones and Southeast scores least and Yorubas will be rejoicing that Igbos have no voting power, I just laugh at them.

30 percent or even more of voters in Lagos are Igbos, that's why Tinubu always make sure he uses thugs to stop Igbos from voting in Lagos cos he knows Igbo voter population in Lagos can cost APC a win.

For instance, I am Igbo but I didn't register to vote in my state, I registered in Lagos. All my siblings that are in the country registered to vote outside our home state.

After Yorubas, Igbos are the second highest voters in Lagos, Oyo, Ogun and Ondo.

After Hausa-Fulanis and Kanuris Igbos are the second highest voters in Kaduna and Kano.

After Ijaws, Ikwerres, Kalabaris, Igbos are the next highest voters in Rivers State.

Same applies to Abuja, Cross River, Delta, Jos, etc.

You think Hausa-Fulani politicians are foolish that since Nigeria had independence they always preferred to align with Igbos which made Awolowo lost and weep always?

The first time Hausa-Fulanis aligned with Yorubas politically was in 2015, go and check history.

Buhari had always aligned with Igbos who always rejected voting for him despite picking Igbo VP not until 2015 that he decided to align with Yorubas for the first time out of frustration and yet Yorubas wont let the world hear word.

Please go back and check the global population statistics of Nigerian tribes and know who are the most populated and the minorities before you go misinforming yourself.

Igbo voters are cut across all states of Nigeria unlike most other tribes and everybody know this.

The only reason Igbos seem to have become face of opposition is the 2015 election that Goodluck lost and Igbos continued to stand by him unlike other tribes that would have abandoned him and followed the winning side, which made Hausa-Fulanis to become suspicious of Igbos again unlike before.

There are multiple ethnic groups in Nigeria. The Hausa-Fulani ethnicity outnumbers every other ethnic group, accounting for about 30% of the population. A majority of the Hausa-Fulani are of the Muslim faith.

The second-largest ethnic group is the Yoruba, accounting for 15.5% of the population, followed by the Igbo (Ibo), comprising about 15.2% of the population.

This is world's population record source.

Igbo population above excluded Igbo speaking communities in Southsouth and Middlebelt (Benue etc).

So before you go about referring Igbos as a minority tribe, try and update yourself.

Also remember Igbos lost over 3million people in Nigeria-Biafra war and still boast of this population, what does that tell you ignorant people calling Igbos minority?

Why waste your energy on an ignoramus called Reno Omokri?
Buhari is a majority and he failed woefully 3X before Yorubas helped him.
Reno is indirectly hoping that GEJ or Atiku wins so that he can return from political exile.

So Fulani is a tribe in Nigeria? Fulani that is not native to Nigeria. I am not surprised. Nigeria itself is a cut-and-join country. Nothing can stop Biafra.

That is why I said Nigeria is a cut-and-join country. That is why I said I am not surprised. The same way Fulanis have been added as Nigerians is the same way Igbo was falsely and forcefully added to Nigeria.

Yoruba need to do something about igbo being the second voting power in their region. Igbos understand what they are doing.

Why do you think they displace many hausa and fulani few months to elections every four four years. They understand the consequences of vote splitting.

To make every tribe feel safe especially minority tribe, tribe should only have voting power in his region, individual should only register in his region and vote in his region.

You can't come to my region and be bragging second voting power with me and my brothers

op, why is igbos not collecting their PVC. we need to start educating ipob brainwashed minions. without PVC we are minority. without PVC we will be marginalized in Nigeria. anybody who meant well for Igbo should start advising our people back home to start registering PVC and make sure they vote for Peter obi.

Bro let you tell you something you don’t know or noticed today. The Yorubas themselves are the one splitting the votes and not the Ibos. What happens in Lagos happens virtually in all SW states.

In Oyo you will see PDP and APC sharing votes like 55/45% even in a presidential election. If Ibos are much in Oyo to influence the votes, they would have been saying they are the one doing the votes for PDP.

What about Ogun & Ondo, you always have votes close between the two parties too at both governorship and presidential. If Ibos had much numbers in those states we would have think they are the one doing the vote.

If they truly have such number in Lagos like they always claim, they should have been deciding who rule Lagos since 1999 but yet they cannot because it’s all baseless. They are just the loudest noisemaker in the room, don’t take them too serious bro.

This is another problem and reason Yorubas now have the effrontery to call Igbos minority when Yoruba population is not up to Igbo population in a real census devoid of Nigerian political gimmicks.

I think the reason many Igbos lost interest in voting in Nigerian election is as a result of election rigging, making them feel its a waste of time voting since at the end incumbent government use government mercenaries to rig the election and still install the worst candidate. You know Igbos are logical and emotional sect, and they always allow logic and emotion to take over their political judgment and participation which is why others say Igbos don't know how to play politics which could be true.

Another factor discouraging Igbos from participating in Nigerian elections is IPOB grassroot messages that exposed the crimes and injustices Nigerian government have metted on the Igbos, making them see Nigeria as a failed nation that have no future.

This is another issue to be honest.

Igbos believe election in Nigeria is just a waste of time since incumbent Governor or President will still use security and INEC to rig the election, so they see it as a waste of time and energy they would have used to focus on their business.

In so doing, most Igbos refuse to register to vote, those who did hardly go back to collect their PVC, instead they use the time to focus on their business and see it as a taboo locking their shop to go register to vote or collect PVC

its not only in Yoruba lands, in most Nigerian states, after the indigenes, Igbos are the second largest voter population due to Igbo huge population and widespread nature.

But even with that population most Igbos don't participate in Nigerian election cos they see it as a waste of business time since at the end incumbent Governor or President still uses security agents and INEC to rig the election.

Igbos kind of play emotional and logical politics which are part of the things slashing Igbo voting power in recent Nigeria

no excuse about election, rigging are we the only place they rigged election. how many politicians do we have that can rig 6 to 10 million voters of South East. that excuse should be shove to Dustin. rigging works when people doesn't come out to vote.

What a well researched submission...

I am just laughing at this efulefus of politicians that think Igbo has no political strength in Nigeria. Prior to independence, Igbo was the major ethnic group in the political world of the country, which scared the elites of the north...

If not for the manipulated IPOB stuff that some Igbos to have voting apathy, I will tell any so called politicay heavy weights in Nigeria to, Ignore Igbos at your peril.

They is an ongoing renaissance that won't stop until the country gets it right.

As much as I agree with you 100% I do not agree that Fulani is a majority tribe in Nigeria. They are not even Nigerians to start with and I think we must begin by correcting that wrong history. They have only tried to wield demonic and destructive influence since Buhari came into power and trust me after Buhari presidency, the Fulani race might go into estinction.

But the Yorubas especially knows that the Igbos are indeed a majority tribe in Nigeria. But again, the malicious balcanization of Nigerian tribe which saw a lot of igbos now in Rivers, Delta, C.Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Benue, etc has made most ignoramus feel Igbos are only In Anambra, Enugu, IMO, Abia and Ebonyi.

Long story short, Igbos are great people which ever way you view this tribe.
