ninab: School required deposit. Full tuition is15.5 CAD, deposit they requested for is 8500CAD, The deposit is paid already. Is it better paying the balance whc is less than 7k CAD or doing GIC of 10k. Advice needed please |

Isyma:pay balance and just build living expenses money that’s better |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by DestinationCann: 6:17pm On May 03, 2022 |
Pay balance using form A. Leave POF for living expenses plus plus extra in Naira. GIC rate is high because you'll use Aboki dollar. Isyma: |

Financially, I believe you'll be well off if Full tuition is paid and &10k GIC is bought. Prove funds for subsequent years(if there is) and address other aspects of your application and your visa issuance is highly probable. Isyma: 1 Like |

Omiinii: Since the money you will use to fund your GIC is aboki dollar which would be high, I think just leaving your naira in your bank account is sufficient for living expenses after paying your tuition fee. 1 Like |

You're right. However IRCC doesn't put that into consideration when evaluating your app. It's not even compulsory. It's just a way to increase your odds of approval. That's if your financially buoyant. That's how you prove you truly own the funds in your account. Show undeniably commitments. ActivatedDreams: |

dannybomb:As an HND holder you are qualified to apply for a PG.CERT (Post Graduate Certificate program) in Canadian Colleges. Loads of HND holders on this platform have gotten PG.Cert admissions at Canadian Colleges. To get possible PG. Cert programs and colleges offering your program, answer the following questions - What did you study? - What year did you graduate? (to address study gaps) - Are you working? IF YES, how many years now? - Is your work related to what you study for your HND? (For Academic/Career Progression purposes) |

All my brothers and sisters are not in Nigeria and In the IRCC family information form, section for brothers and sisters, if I fill my brothers and sisters details, wouldn't VO think that I won't come back to Nigeria after Study? Can I leave this section blank? Help. Thanks. |

Wealthh: Well apologies that you have arrived at that conclusion albeit not factual It’s my first time here so I am not familiar with the rules and mine is for work permit which was fully processed by the employer so the details might not be beneficial (I assume). I just searched NL for temporary visa related groups, found this thread and thought to ask. Thanks all the same. 2 Likes |

Tawis06: Wait list, in university and college admissions, is a term used in the United States and other countries to describe a situation in which a college or university has not formally accepted a particular student for admission, but at the same time may offer admission in the next few months if spaces become available. |

https:///HgynE9X2XcN2NP0cw7lzYr WhatsApp link for only IENs in Canada Hi guys , I’m just coming back to give an update on my Canadian PR via study route. I’m hoping it would help another registered nurse in their registration process. My initial post on March 25,2019 “App submitted: Feb 22 Route: Paper (Ghana) Biometrics: Feb 22 Eligibility review: March 5th Medical Request : March 5th Medical Done: March 7th Medical Passed: March 15th Validity of biometrics: March 25th APPROVAL: March 25th Conestoga College FALL 2019 Pgd Enhanced Nursing practice” My story is , I was a registered nurse in ghana and started the NNAS application in July. For context, NNAS is what canada uses to assess Internationally educated nurses degree to that of canada . I arrived in canada September 6th 2019, studied critical care for 8 months and graduated in may 2020(technically we finished September 2020 because we weren’t able to finish practicals at the hospital due to Covid). The pandemic hit so no graduation . I decided to apply for another program in other to get a three year work permit. So my gerontology program started in September 2020 and ended may 2021. My first and only job as a student was working casually (picked up shifts according to my availability and 20hr restriction) as a PSW in a long term care home(LTC)) NNAS applications usually runs for a year and then expires but because of the pandemic, most applications got extended. Mine included. This extension gave me time to add my first program (critical. Care) transcript and course description from Conestoga to my application. My NNAS report came out as comparable to Canadian RN in October 2020.( the program I added helped) . So I went ahead and applied to the College of Nurses of Ontario(CNO) in October 2020 (still a student) . CNO gave me the authorization to test(ATT) for nclex. Booked my test for January 2021 and passed . Got registered that same January after meeting all other requirements . Then I applied for a casual RN position at my job in the LTC.so I worked there till may after my second program ended in April 2021. May 6 2021, the government introduced a new program (TR to PR). I qualified for the health care stream because I worked as a PSW for more than a year and I had the hours. Submitted my application in may and became a PR in September by Gods grace . I also started a full time RN job in the hospital of may of 2021. At the time of applying for this job, the intention was to work full time for one year join the pool and apply for Canadian experience class. But God has his ways. Now I wish I took a break after school because school was intense. either way, I’m grateful to God. FYI for internationally educated nurses(IEN) : CNO has made it easier to get registered . Meaning , if you’ve passed US or Australian NCLEX RN after 2013, you’d automatically meet the education requirement which is one of the hardest requirement for IENS. You’d still have to go through NNAS regardless. I’m hoping everyone gets their PPR. Have a blessed day. [/quote] 6 Likes 1 Share |
