NBCC is a time waster, they won't tell you whether or not there is a space for an intake, they'll just collect your application fee and tell you to wait till they have space for you (waitlist). You could wait for a year, more or less.

I will advise you leave them and look for admission elsewhere in order not to waste your time. Also, ensure you avoid colleges and universities that delight in this kind of strategy.

Tawis06:
Please somebody should help me with this question
I apply for a course in nbcc, and i have already pay for my application fee, i have sent them all necessary documents, but they place me on “waitlist “. Please what does it mean?

trishaben:

Hi guys , I’m just coming back to give an update on my Canadian PR via study route. I’m hoping it would help another registered nurse in their registration process.
My initial post on March 25,2019

“App submitted: Feb 22
Route: Paper (Ghana)
Biometrics: Feb 22
Eligibility review: March 5th
Medical Request : March 5th
Medical Done: March 7th
Medical Passed: March 15th
Validity of biometrics: March 25th
APPROVAL: March 25th

Conestoga  College
FALL 2019
Pgd Enhanced Nursing practice”

My story is , I was a registered nurse in ghana and started the NNAS application in July. For context, NNAS is what canada uses to assess Internationally educated nurses degree to that of canada .
I arrived in canada September 6th 2019, studied critical care for 8 months and graduated in may 2020(technically we finished September 2020 because we weren’t able to finish practicals at the hospital due to Covid). The pandemic hit so no graduation sad. I decided to apply for another program in other to get a three year work permit. So my gerontology program started in September 2020 and ended may 2021.

My first and only job as a student was working casually (picked up shifts according to my availability and 20hr restriction) as a PSW in a long term care home(LTC))

NNAS applications usually runs for a year and then expires but because of the pandemic, most applications got extended. Mine included. This extension gave me time to add my first program (critical. Care) transcript and course description from Conestoga to my application. My NNAS report came out as comparable to Canadian RN in October 2020.( the program I added helped) . So I went ahead and applied to the College of Nurses of Ontario(CNO) in October 2020 (still a student) . CNO gave me the authorization to test(ATT) for nclex. Booked my test for January 2021 and passed . Got registered that same January after meeting all other requirements . Then I applied for a casual RN position at my job in the LTC.so I worked there till may after my second program ended in April 2021.
May 6 2021, the government introduced a new program (TR to PR). I qualified for the health care stream because I worked as a PSW for more than a year and I had the hours. Submitted my application in may and became a PR in September by Gods grace .
I also started a full time RN job in the hospital of may of 2021. At the time of applying for this job, the intention was to work full time for one year join the pool and apply for Canadian experience class. But God has his ways. Now I wish I took a break after school because school was intense. either way, I’m grateful to God.
FYI for internationally educated nurses(IEN) : CNO has made it easier to get registered . Meaning , if you’ve passed US or Australian NCLEX RN after 2013, you’d automatically meet the education requirement which is one of the hardest requirement for IENS. You’d still have to go through NNAS regardless.
I’m hoping everyone gets their PPR. Have a blessed day.

When is the deadline to apply for visa for fall intake?
My passport expires in December can I use it to apply?

Hi Guys,

If your company is sponsoring you, what are the necessary details you would need to provide? Would the payslip, employment letter, reference letter. SOP letter from Board be sufficient? Would it be compulsory to show the salary account since it is the company that is paying and they would also attach the salary payslip?

Thanks

Hello
I need advice please
I currently just got my student visa approved but I some concerns and would be grateful if anyone can help with clarifications.
My program is a one year joint masters offered by a university in Madrid and Canada. I have finished the first semester in Madrid and applied for the Canadian visa but it was initially refused and I applied again. The school had to move the course online since most of the students didn't get the visa. We resumed the second semester online in January and we just finished on the 29th of April. My second application was approved on the 28th of April. I got the counter foil today and realized they approve 2months for me.
What should I do?
What options do I have ?
I already registered for the summer semester to complete my thesis.
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the lengthy message

You'll be good with Data Analytics if you have some years of job experience in it. With your degree in Economics and job experience, some colleges and universities would give you admission.

Alternatively, you could opt for Business Analytics: this is better than Data Analytics as it builds the bridge between Data and Business. A Business Analyst can work as a Data Analylist.

Being a graduate of Economics, it will be easier to gain admission into Business Analytics programs without work experience in the field.

youngmusty:
For a while now have been focused on Uk but considering how easier getting PR for Canada is I started checking about it earlier today my mind was focused on two courses data analytics and information technology management but the Canada thing is new to me please would you refer to me good courses available for economics graduate for Canada and will I be able to maintain the data analytics.

What you got on your passport simply means you have to enter Canada within 2 months.

It's when you get to Canada they'll give you student permit to stay in Canada as a student for the length of your study.

You'll mostly see few colleges and universities still open for fall intake, but if you are lucky to find one, quickly apply, get the admission letter and apply for visa right a way. It's getting late.

You can apply with your current passport but be aware that you'll need to renew your passport and update IRCC later.

Hello, Plz how did you get the result of your sputum test? Did you take the test at IOM? I'm in the same booth just finished dropping sample last week.
Response will be appreciated.

Getting your sputum test result is the easiest oart of the situation because they will send you an email letting you know it’s available.

For me, I was told when it would be out and then given a date for my final X-ray. When that date came, I emailed one of the nurses I met and she sent it via email. Weeks later, I had my final X-ray done and they confirmed receipt of my health file.

The real war is them passing the medicals afterwards. I haven’t heard a peep since then.

From what was explained. This is what my little brain understands.

1.) @Shadesbyespoir International students can now use online study taken until August 31, 2022 toward their PGWP eligibility.

2.) You've completed your program, therefore I believe that if your study programs is with an eligible Designated Learning Institution (DLI) and meet other PGWP requirements. You're good to go(I'm assuming your goal is PR so this is a necessary step to that)

3.) However, because it's a joint masters degree program. I have some uncertainties.
It's is mandatory that the shortest length a program may be is eight months. But IRCC stance on Canadian study programs with an overseas component states that: If your study program has an overseas component, you may be eligible for a PGWP as long as you earn a credit from a Canadian school for it. The PGWP will only be valid for the length of the time you studied in Canada so I believe regardless of the bolded in this paragraph you are still eligibility for a 1 year PGWP.

4.) So with your 2 months visa it's imperative you act quick. you can either go to CA and apply for PGWP or possibly apply for another program and extend. But I think you have to physically be in Canada to do that.

Let other gurus weigh in as well.

Goodluck God bless

Both Data Analytics and Business Analytics are tech programs.

Kindly note that some courses are either Business Analytics or Data Analytics but they won't be called by the names: you could see something like Predictive Analysis, Business Intelligence and Insight Analysis, Financial Technology, Data Science etc. It's when you read the overviews you'll get to know the profession the course leads to.

Since you have two months, I want to believe it is a visit not study visa. Apply for 1.5 years PGD. Enter Canada and apply for study permit if you want to stay longer in Canada. PhD is your best option but the 2 months is too small to secure a phd admission and visa

Msc nursing is a sure visa. You will likely get 2-3 years work permit after. However, most msc nursing programs don't qualify for RN. Your eduation would most likely get you LPN only. You may need to challenge the RN requirements via exams or a lawyer. Alternatively, you can look for RN MSc programs. I will expect such programs will be very expensive.

Landing Gist !!!

Well, I was aspiring to type lot of story but my trip was quite short and simple than expected. No much questioning at allll.
Airline: Egyptair
Time: 14:00 on 2nd of May 2022

I got to Airport at 9am to avoid crowd ahead of travel time. I was the second person attended to for boarding pass.
Baggage: 29kg and 30km
Hand luggage: 12kg

I had lot of loads that I couldn't afford to drop some as I did some cargo ahead self for my fiancée in Toronto, That's why I had lots still. So I did bargain with the personnel who did calculation and said I will pay 75USD for extra to upgraded baggage of 32kg. I used Naija way reduce ham to 50USD as I hid some other baggage earlier sef. It was more. So we sha added all of them to the bags since I've paid. Lot of milk, fish and food items.
Document requested: ArriveCan, Vaccination card, Passport then Got my boarding pass.

I waited with my family for pictures till 12noon before moving in.
Advice, Avoid crowdy entry. A friend here told me to go through Gate E which I did. Very simple. Immigration passed me quickly without much questioning. The man was gisting with me sef giving me the right pronunciation of Toronto that I will blend soon. He checked the Acceptance letter and stamped me.

Money declaration man, He got interested in me that I paid full tuition fee (Big Boy) then We started family gist ooo when I said I am not a big boi. That it is Owo omo oni iru, omo alata, lol. At some point I was avoiding his gist but He was loving it, discussing with a young man about Life. He eventually said Good luck out there, Off you go.

Peace... Got to airline session, the lady there started gist too, then I kept thinking which soap did I use sef that They want to be making friends and not even doing usual Bambiala, Lol... She said Go in peace too.
We left Lagos Exactly 2pm.
Meals and movie on egyptair was great, I ate all. Arrived Egypt at 8:30pm and waited for our 5 hours stopover.
Left exactly 1:30am as they asked same document; Passport, ArriveCan, and Vaccination card.

Ate 3 meals before morning, They have amazing movies. All great. I made an Egypt-Canadian friend on the plane (Husband and Wife) They were awesome. watched same movies, Ate same meal as they were so cool.

Arrived Canada 1:48pm Nigerian time (8:48am Canadian time).
Note: Kindly fill your declaration form online before leaving Nigeria to save you stress. Went to self-declaration machine to scan my passport and I got my ticket once under 20secs.

First level asked me for passport and declaration ticket then Proceeded to another for first time arrival permits. Devil wanted to work small but God gat it under control. We were asked for letter of Introduction; My hands was dried that I needed spit to sort my document (Nigerian way) then this woman just shouted at me: SO RUDE, I DON'T NEED YOUR PAPERS...
I was like Alaye calm down na, I needed to separate my papers na, I had to bring out my hand sanitizer to satisfy her, Yet she said She told me she's not interested in my papers that I should bring just my passport then she went to print it herself, Alakoba.
Avoid using spit for paper sorting.

I was shaking that I didn't even know when I gave her my passport, I think she picked it herself cuz she told me to sit. Then I was looking for passport that Village people don come o.

When I was called, and I saw my passport with the person, then I felt more relaxed.
No much question asked. He just asked me for which school and course then He gave me my study permit and work permit.

Bless God.
Fiancée came to pick me. Drove me home then I realize I didn't waste money. This land is beautiful sha.
I drove later in the evening to get some stuffs like a road learner. Forget your Jason Statham skills in Nigeria, When you reach here, You gatz learn, Lol. So organized.

I wish everyone awaiting PPR all the best. Success !!!
See attached some photos...
