If you considered purchasing Airtel broadband, run. Go for MTN or spectrabet or anything. Airtel is the worst. I purchased unlimited plan on my smartbox, my FUP was exhausted and I was entitled to 10gb data everyday till the end of my validity. I didn't get this data. The first day I had to call over 3 times for them to send it to me. They finally did and after that, I've not gotten it. I've called customer care multiple times and they keep asking me to wait. Airtel is very useless and I have wasted my money. Do not buy broadband from Airtel. heed my warning. Thieves. I will definitely be looking for another broadband provider

Airtel customer care are very useless. The last time I called to report an issue, I was told to wait for 8 hours. I was like on top wetin.... At the end of the day, I went to Airtel office... It didn't even take up to 30mins that I got my sim fixed and i bought a mifi there...

go ahead and drag them out on Twitter. That way they'll quickly jump into your dm and beg. I almost made the same mistake of buying their Mifi for 5k. Airtel gives you 210gb for 20k while mtn give you 120gb for 20k, choose wisely. Lol

in terms of data services I think airtel is far better than another network in Nigeria

My airtel mifi restarts on its own.

Imagine being in the middle of a presentation and your mifi switches off.

It does so around 3 times daily minimum.

When i have serious meetings now, i simply use my phone hotspot

Overheating? Keep it on the floor or something cool. Mine stopped switching off after doing that.

It's area dependent but still one thing remains very clear; Airtel will suck your data without any iota of mercy with that big soakaway pipe.

Spectranet is the worst. Whatever you do, stay off that network or there devices.

Go for Swift data or MTN data. Also go for either MTN or swift devices.

STAY OFF SPECTRANET. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Airtel is horrible. Had an experience I bought data that was exhausted in one day without me even using it. Called their customers services, they used me to play for hours. Telling me to hold on or they will patch me through to another agent. Eventually I got angry and destroyed my sim. They can steal your data. I have tried it with a data meter and they give you at best 70% of the data you purchase.

Bro just get spectranet blue mifi to avoid unnecessary stress, least 3k can give u 14gb on double data days(sunday) with unlimited night plan

210GB on top shitty network, I live in a city, using 4G airtel sim on 4G compatible phone, still I have Not enjoyed their services in terms browsing or downloading, very slow, it takes like forever to download a file less than 200MB, draining your battery in the process.
Very wack network.

their network is not poor oga, na the area you dey live. Here I get about 4mbs per download speed and gets upto 7mbs at night during download. I downloaded elden ring 45gb plus patch in 3hours.

I was even contemplating on buying the Airtel mifi very soon.
you can buy it. The only Disadvantage Airtel has is you can't share your data. Because I wanted to buy a mifi cause I use their router, and I do about 200-300gb monthly, and I can't sub two devices, I contacted them to share my data to my mifi and they can't. This is something Glo network does with ease. If Glo was very fast in my area, I would have gone for Glo because of the ecosystem. Once you have a Glo you can share unlimited
