I have been doing that
Scrolling through 500 pages isn't exactly easy

Why didn't the author close this thread and start another and link old threads.

Aside that..
I have not seen a post similar to mine all I see is visitor visa to join family members.

I stated earlier that I don't have any family member in Canada. I am not married n no kids.
I am simply applying to visit for 10 days as a tourist.
I said I have travel experiences
Europe, Africa, middleast.
I have a current UK n us visa.

This is my first time applying
A brief explanation of what documents to send as supporting documents will be appreciated.
It's information shared that people learn from

Also I see people talk of including SOP
Do I include a sop for a tourist visa with no family in Canada?

ditha:
If you go up a few pages in this section and in the student visa and sowp sections, you will how some people packaged their supporting documents and you will get an idea of what is necessary to add.
Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by ditha(f): 7:45pm On May 06, 2022
SOP is not compulsory but very important. You have to explain what you are going to do there and establish strong ties to Nigeria

I think your travel experience may give you an upper hand but you need to include documents that will show that you will return to Nigeria

In ONE document, I advise you include an SOP (you can google a simple template to say why you're visiting, what you'd do there, for how long, when you'll leave), birth certificates (yours and offsprings'), marriage certificate, family photos, NIN, vaccination card, bank statements (obtain the one-page mystatement from your banks either via online banking/app), hotel and airline reservations, company documents, scans of your visas and annotated passport pages over last the 10 years, etc, etc.

Basically, everything that supports the info filled on your form. Combine all in one document and then compress it to below 2MB. Then you can upload this file as your additional documents.

Compress with an app like ilovepdf.

All the best!

NOTE: the portion on the form which asks if Yu have ever been denied a visa is referring to every country you ever applied to, not only Canada. (I heartily thank nairalanders who brought this to my notice through their comments on this thread).

BizErikah:
Thanks, I have now filled the form
But again
I am told to submit the "supporting documents" listed below
And thet are
A copy of my us visa
A copy of my nin
A copy of my passport document

Then there's supporting documents...

Any idea what documents I should include aside
Hotel booking
Flight booking
Letter of introductions from banks n my company
Cac/mou documents??

I appreciate in advance

Hi Friends

Quick clarity required in filling the visitor visa application online in the new portal. I read online that all applicants have to fill the visa application forms.
However, I answered all questions for my spouse and I (we travel together) in the first application alongside my scanned passport and other supporting docs.
Do I have to repeat the same process by creating another application for my wife in the Group section?

Thanks

Your case is quite similar to that of a friend who got his Canadian trv approved . He applied to go for an event by adding a copy of the invitation letter. He also has a valid USA b1/b2 visa. The documents he submitted are; bank statement, letter of invitation, hotel reservation, passport page whit his USA visa. He was approved within 2 months.
I think having an American visa is a plus , this is because when filling the trv application online there is a part where you are asked if you have a valid American visa . So I think having a valid American visa will also Improve your chance as long as you didn't overstay in America during your visit.
Lastly SOP is an optional document. You can add it if there are things you would like to explain to the visa officer since you wont be doing a formal interview.

Good afternoon everyone

A friend told me that the processing time in Nigéria is very long. I am a brazilian permanent resident, i want to know if there is any difference if I apply for canada TRV from Brazil or I should just apply from Nigeria.

P.s I qualify for can + because I have a usa visa.

Good day gurus in house,

Pls I need help, ur vital information will assist me in a great way.

I have a pending visit application for myself and children since last year October in the old porter purpose is to visit my spouse who is on a study permit in Canada.
Since last year no response from IRCC. I got to know of the new portal pls kindly help me out.
1, Can I link the two applications or we should just reapply on the new portal.

2, Do we need to contact IRCC before reapplying in this new portal.

3, If we reapply in the new portal are there chances of quick response because we have spent over 7 months in the old portal just scared of loosing our spot there if reapplying again.

4. Is it possible to have two different active applications at the same time like applying for an open spousal work permit in the new portal with an active visitor visa application in the old portal.

Your responses will be highly appreciated

Thanks everyone

Being a Brazilian PR and applying from Brazil gives you an edge over Nigeria. The Can+ gives you an added advantage also. I think your chances are high though.

Please reapply using the new portal with recent documents, you are not losing any spot. You will get a quicker response with the new portal. I did same thing as well.

You can’t link the two applications together. The GCkey is different from the new portal.

You do not have to contact IRCC.

You can have two applications running concurrently. You can’t apply for SOWP using the new portal, it is for SP and VV.

Did you link your GC Key to your new IRCC portal by entering your UCI number in the UCI section in the new IRCC portal?

DHL are the ones to chase. You will need to call DHL customer care that your passport is ready for collection so they should go pick up also chase them by e-mail except you did not pay for a two way courier.

Wonder my application is taking time . Since nov 2021 via the new portal .

Is it true that people who usually get a response faster is usually a negative response/ rejection.

While if your application is taking time is a sign of positive response?

Just thinking out loud

It does not really matter. Application that takes longer time can also come with refusal. The best thing is to do your best to package your application very well and be positive towards a good response.

You can do your bit in ordering your GCMS notes, send periodic reminders and keep hope alive. Too much of worry is not even healthy.

Hello everyone, thanks for the efforts here. I come from the student visa branch to ask if one can submit multiple visit visa applications, e.g two parents, through the new portal. What other advice would you give for packaging good visit visa applications for 9ja parents of Canadian citizens? Thank you.

HI Chief Osemigho,

I would suggest a group application for the Canadian's parent.

I believe this would be easier and faster for the officers to review than it being reviewed separately and maybe by different visa officers. This does not mean applying for father and mother separately is harmful, but I think a group application is more seamless, so both are together in one file.

The Canadian can apply for his/her parent as a representative on the new IRCC portal, and I believe the application would be faster with this approach.

Good morning house, please I will like to confirm, is submitting Payslip without employee and Employer pension as part of the documents for my visiting visa a red flag or it doesn't mean anything? Cos the pension slot on the Payslip is blank.

Please I will appreciate responses concerning this.

Thank you
