DIY is the best but these people down here will still take their #40,000 when you come for collection or they keep posting you.

Even those who pay Hugh amount in most cases are still disappointed how much DIY - If you're not in a hurry say between 2- 4 months to spare then go DIY otherwise go the other way.

Go to NIMC website and do it online. Pay using your card and print out payment slip then go to NIMC with a court affidavit of age declaration. 15k is NIMC age change.

Please I rescheduled my capturing appointment date to 6 June and I printed it out.. I just observe today that the print out is still carrying my first appointment date which was 02 May. Has anyone observe this before?
What should I do?

I think you did not complete the process of rescheduling. Lodge in again. Choose a new free date and submit, it will give you an instruction whether you're sure of choosing another date. Once you confirm that then click submit/ok then it will tell you how many chances you have left in case you want to reschedule another day. Once the process goes well, go to print appointment date and you will see the new date you choose. Better use a PC if you don't have strong phone.

Seek counsel at the Servicom unit.

Secondly, get an affidavit handy. For your passport application & more, you'll need to constantly prove your relationship with your husband & children.

I had same question as u some months ago. The answer given to me was that I should use Mrs since I am married but some ppu said with Mrs or miss we can choose either cos the title won't show on the passports, lols. The important thing is ur name and if u have a child already make sure ur maiden name is the one written on his/her birth certificate.

Where are u located? Please start now cos it takes up to 2 to 3 months b4 the changes are made.

Same too at the festac office. My collection date is 29 April, but then i was told that there is no booklet. And the problem is nationwide,
so the immigration officials said.

I captured on the 3rd of march at Festac office, since then I haven't gotten my passport, I even called an immigration lady that assisted me this morning and she told me that they are still stuck with those that captured in January, I did a renewal and was given an option to pay normal 45k or 55k to fast track. I chose the 45k route and this morning she's reminding me that I should have paid for the 55k that now there is no booklet .... I really don't get how I'm buying a booklet for 10k

Before I got to know about this forum, I already paid 42k to immigration officer who did my expired passport for me years back. My capturing date is May 19th and I paid around March 21st or so.

My questions:
(1) After capturing can I demand my enrollment slip, old passport and what else from this officer to enable me know my collection day.

(2) I just completed DIY renewal payment for my wife today on their portal, the while process was so easy. I paid #26k. I have read from page to page on this forum and I know about all documents I should gather for capturing, July 6th, the whole of June have been booked.
My question here is about the hand written letter; does my wife need to write application letter for renewal as part of the docs or is it not a child that needs Consent letter from parents. Pls I need clarification on this. Thanks. Also, I plan to do DIY for my three daughters, never again will I patronise any officer.

It's possible that your passport is ready, but the officer still want to extort you by collecting extra 10k from you. These officers have no conscience at all and are very greedy. Despite the fact that he has extorted you by collecting #45k for a passport of #26k he is still looking for more.

like someone said, I'm sure the passport are ready, but what I can't tell is how a big country like Nigeria can't have an online tracking for an organization as big as the NIS, if not for the proceeds of corruption they are entitled to

Which center are you capturing?

1. After capturing, you must be given an enrollment slip. Alausa center always right collection date on the enrollment slip you will get after capturing. They will give you back your old passport even before capturing. The old passport is only needed during physical verification of your documents, perhaps, it is your property not theirs.

2. You wife will write application letter with biro on a plain white A4 paper. She will address it to PCO of the NIS center. There's no major format. Just regular formal letter of application. Don't forget that you will need e-verification form. They sell it for N300 at any photocopy shop at Aluasa center. I don't know about other center. For the photocopy of your old passport, you're to do the data page and also last page. You can also buy file strings along in case the verification officer did not have on his/her desk. This will make things easy for you on the capturing date. Get to the center early even if they give you afternoon time for your appointment.

When did you captured?
That's what will determine when your passport is expected to be ready. Minimum of 4 weeks after capturing for renewal.

Truly, there's shortage of booklets and not lack of it. That is two different situations but they still print. If you approach them to know the status of your passport collection don't expect positive response except you are ready for fast track. Same officer who tells you "no booklets" will tell you that you can get it if you are ready to fast track.

Patient is the key thing as far as I'm concerned. Lack of it means you're ready to spend extra money in the Nigeria way.

Another thing that may delay printing of passport is if the production department also discover error or discrepancies in your data at the point of production. They have different departments that process your passport. Verification department may overlook some error and you go on to capture. The production department will do final check of your data before they print. If there's a red flag then they will jump your passport production and move to the next person. You can wait forever if this happens to you because nobody will tell you what happened until you protest in whatever way.

I am not an immigration officer but one of the senior officers explained this to us when I was at their center in Lagos last week. I hope this helps someone.

It's not really available, or so did my contact say. Mine was ready on the 20th, my son's on the 27th, all because the guy had to collect one booklet for us each at different times when they got them.

So the fasttrack thingy na scam. because yes you have fast track, but the insiders allocate booklets to their own people.

I salute everyone here! Considering the rate at which Passport productions are delayed. Please I would like to know if i can apply for recapturing now as against January, 2023 that my present Passport will expire. Reason being that i want to start processing for my Master Program in the UK. Secondly, does anyone have an idea of how much I can get a Passport for my 2 year old?

Bro. I'm in the same situation as you. I'm totally confused, and I needed it for urgent school processing.

I'm stuck in Ilorin passport Office.
