BluntCrazeMan: Good Evening. Whenever I save any file on my system, be it in the “Documents Folder”, or on the “Desktop” space, or even if I create a new folder directly inside the “Local Disk - C” Drive space and save the file there, once I put the system off and put it on again, everything I saved on the system would just be wiped off, and I won't see them again.. Even if I run a search for such files on the whole of the system, I won't see any traces that such files existed on the system, not even in the recycle bin.
(Although, any files that I deleted by myself before I put the system off would still be there in the recycle bin). .. .. NOTE: I don't have the Deep-Freeze Software on my system. .. .. I also discovered something else... .. When I clicked on the “Users” folder inside the LOCAL DISK Folder, I discovered that a new temporary “User” folder is always created for me whenever I sign-in, and that the current temporary “user” folder, which stands for the user that is currently signed-in, is the only folder that contains readable items... All other earlier numerous temporary “user” folders, which represented all those times that I logged in earlier (which had wiped out), all contained encrypted files which cannot be opened by any app or software, and they are saved in hidden folders inside those earlier temporary “user” folders. .. Please, is there any way I can correct this anomaly?? You must be using windows 7 with deep freeze active. It makes every file you save on the system temporary to protect your PC from virus attack. you had no clue of what happened to your system. Cmos battery only enables your system bios to store settings related to the bios which help your system boot up. it has nothing to do with his files going away. it may be a virus or system restore bug. he may even have disk write issues which might make the files be stored on the memory. |

To fix this, create a local account if you don't have another or activate the administrator account. Login with the local account then go to your profile in Users folder, you should see a file named NTUSER.dat. delete the file then restart and try to login again to see if the issue occurs afterwards. If it occurs then you have to login with the local account, go to registry and look for all the system profiles, delete profiles with extension bak. Be careful and check Google on how to delete temporary profiles else you mess up your system 1 Like |

Check your Hard disk for status, you hard disk must have full, if you have small free space from your hard disk, this can cause it.
Also virus can cause it, check hidden file from options, you will see all your files, this is cause by virus,
Final solution, reinstall windows without format hard disk, get original antivirus to scan all your fresh windows installation to detect and remove the virus, you can then go ahead to trace your file through hidden files settings |

Step 9: That's all
In addition to this, in the regedit key hive(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> MICROSOFT -> WINDOWS NT-> CURRENT VERSION -> Run and RunOnce), if you find suspicious .exe or script files, then it means your system is compromised. As someone mentioned earlier, check your data and time to ensure it displays correctly. Modified What version of Windows OS are you using? If Windows 7, then might be system conflict, if it is Windows 10, in addition to the aforementioned, if it doesn't work, just reinstall a new Windows or better yet install Ubuntu. |
