there is a very big difference: its like asking the bank if this is their statement. They know whats from them. The bank would do well to cross check the account just to be sure. And let the embassy know the statement is genuine. Sometimes they don’t even have to check the account. They would simply know by merely looking at it.

You are making things up, they can’t know if the bank statement is genuine just by looking at it then make a decision. They do verify it with the bank. When you applied for visa you signed a clause giving the embassy the right to verify your documents.

How many of people read that legal small print at the end of visa application form before submitting?

Menh why are u giving bad advice here na, if u got ntn to advice why don't u chill. See study gap of 11 years and she just submit that she wud surely get NSF. She has to convince the embassy abt her true intention of going to study after 11 years and bcs she is not available in person to answer those questions so she av to submit docs to explain. pls she av to submit her CV, her references if available, whatever wud explain what she or he has been doing over the years

My CAS states that I'm to upload only degree certificate and transcript. No English certificate as I've been assessed and meet the requirements.

Question is...do I upload only these two documents? I've read from people here saying how they uploaded CV and letter from their employees to show study gaps and all that to avoid getting NSF mail. Please advise. My study gap is 11 years

Also, do the uploaded documents need to be in A4 format?..I think I read it somewhere...

Back up ur applications with every doc u av that can explain ur study gap. You would not be there in person tp explain so those docs bails u out aside u are ready for NSF mail. Then u go still submit them and ur application wud take longer time .
So whatever u know u can upload pls do but don't forge any doc

Yes you and few other people here are giving those who are planning to use fake bank statement false hope. The whole point of verification is to determine if the money the applicant claims to have is available. If you used fake bank statement and get away with it then it makes that checks were not made by the embassy.

Embassies do verify bank statements and that includes the availability of fund and banks corporate with such request else your application will be refused if your bank refused to corporate with request from the embassy.

Banks have image to protect , they got no business trying to cover your crime.

Bro he is not making u look like a bad person, what he is trying to say in essence is that if u make people here believe UKVI don't av any reason of checking bank statement, u wud sell d wrong idea bcs so many matters arising on Proof of funds issue. This is not an issue that i wud start spilling out here . The bottom line is that it is best for everyone to believe ukvi collaborates with banks for bank statement to avoid story that touches d heart after wasting a lot of money in the process.

if you read through people's experience here, you will find out that one of the things that people complain about not being uniform is IHS.......some people pay slightly more...some people slightly less...

some people with family have also said they charged their dependent less...while some said they charged both main applicant and dependent the same...

..i wanted him to know what happened to him was possible as he sounding terrified in his write up...and I also wanted him to know he has a chance in winning the review provided his documents are not fake....

there was a guy like that on this forum too. the embassy lied repeatedly about his documents, delayed him repeatedly.. when they saw that the dude ddnt back down...they changed the decision and gave him the visa...its just annoying

The type of account you use is solely your choice, naira, dom (dollar or pounds), yen, coweries etc.

There is an official app where equivalent conversion from one currency to another can be made and that's what guides the UKVI. As long as it guides you that's all that matters. The first page has the link to that app called Oanda

There’s no which is better,you can use any account in any currency. The UKVI has an official exchange rate website ( Oanda) that’s shows conversion in pounds,that’s what they use.

You are right about dude not backing down.
Lol in our context about POF make i use pidgin, some people go remove the money before visa issuance thinking say embassy no go check am. So that why i say e better make we believe say them dey check am.
No for this particular guy he sounded so sure amd i can do the AR, he wud surely get his Visa if the funds are still in his acct.

I am honestly surprised that this argument of verification is still going on. Don't be deceived, UKVI will check whatever they want to.
