Every region or continent of the world needs to have at least one nuclear power. We cannot say all countries should become a nuclear power, but we need at least one nuclear power in Africa for instance. The indiscretion of world's superpowers today is very concerning. If you doubt my statement, look at what is happening in Ukraine today, with a whole sovereign country being destroyed and bombed into shreds. It just shows that you are not a truly sovereign country until you are powerful enough, or have a powerful ally that can protect you.
