Kfed4ril: Where does the money to pay the workers drilling for the crude come from? Plus like I said private entities and NNPC in JV with others drill for crude. Naturally they have to earn money from doing it otherwise they won't be able to pay taxes, maintenance fees, buy new equipment, salaries etc. |

subsidywise18: I know we need more than one working refinery, I’m just saying if we had at least one working refinery things wouldn’t be this bad. All this this you mentioned are considered, I never said government should give Nigerians free fuel, I said if we had working refineries it would’ve been hell cheaper that it is today. Reason been that the government doesn’t have to sell to the citizens at opec prices and the still will make money to carter for all you mentioned above. |

subsidywise18: Are you telling me that the NNPC in JV can’t drill and refill then sell to the citizens or even alone without a JV. When I’m talking about government running the refineries, which arm of government is saddled with the responsibility if not NNPC? |
Re: Diesel Price Hike: Enugu Increases Waste Evacuation Contracts' Budget by Nobody: 10:39am On May 12, 2022 |
Kfed4ril: They will or they will sell close to OPEC prices. Because there will be private entities drilling for crude and exporting it at international proces and NNPC exploration arm has to pay its workers equivalent salaries to the workers drilling for private firms, or they lose workers That's why they charge at OPEC prices. Dangote will be buying crude from NNPC at OPEC prices in naira equivalent. That's all government could promise him. |

Kfed4ril: See my response above. NNPC better sell at international prices, or they won't be able to compete wih the private sector re drilling fr crude |
