gandkiss: Your borehole water become muddy or unclean after it rains from either of two sources or both. One source is rainwater run-off contamination or soakaway cross contamination or both. In any which way , your borehole casing MAY have failed. Or drilled without borehole casing in the first place. Borehole casing is the pipe inserted into the freshly drilled borehole to protect and support the borehole stream. The casing provides stabilisation and keeps the sides of the borehole from caving in on themselves. The casing also protect the borehole from outside contamination. Best practice, a casing should be about 40 feet long but this can be a challenge for some drilling contractors so they use shorter pipes which means there will be many joints where the casing can fail. Each casing should be joined together by PVC (solvent) cement. If not done to best practice, the casing will fail at this point of joint. This May be the problem you're experiencing. That is if the borehole was drilled with casing. It is a serious and costly problem. topsy23 advised to build a concrete protection around the borehole. This may prevent rainwater run-off contamination but what if your soakaway is also a culprit? How far away is your soakaway? The bazooka solution is to drill a new borehole which may not be an easy monetary decision. 1 Like 1 Share |

FEGEITOK: This is true. This is why it's important to create different subnet groups and/or switch to isolate groups of equipments based on risk level. Very cheap and easy. |

FEGEITOK: We had a discussion here about network security where some think that Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA 2) is enough as a basic protection for homes. It is true that WPA2 ensures that data sent or received over your wireless network is encrypted, and only people with your network password have access to it. Unfortunately, WPA2-enabled access points (usually routers) are vulnerable to attacks through WEP. To eliminate this attack vector, it is good advice to disable WEP and, if possible, make sure your router’s firmware doesn’t rely on WEP. Get a VPN and anti Malware or ransomware programme. 1 Like |

diordaves: I'm one of the ones that think a basic WPA2 protection is enough if usernames and passwords are changed from default. But that's just me, everyone has to weigh their level of exposure. |

So it could be rainwater run-off contamination. The concrete protection might work. Don't allow water to stagnant around the borehole head. |

VPN is manly for online privacy and security. Mostly when people browse around the Web, they leave a digital footprint of your activity through your IP (Internet Protocol) address. Web browsers store your browsing history, and tracking cookies & pixels are used to record various aspects of your browsing and other behavior for their later use . Bad actors can trick you into accepting cookies and installing malwares on your system. Th two critical reasons is to use a VPN are to increase your privacy by hiding your IP address, they can also secure your online activity by encrypting the data related with it. When you connect to a VPN, your browsing activity appears to come from the IP address of the VPN server rather than your own. Additionally, your browsing activity is encrypted, so the data sent and received in your online activity is encoded and can’t be deciphered without the key. A VPN is a powerful tool in your online privacy and security. 4 Likes |
