These are just a line out of long story

Those chapters are stories of the prophet in those time

So highlighting just a line is hypocrisy, get a Quran and read the whole passage
Do you know this is also the defense from christians when confronted with some disturbing aspects of the Bible?

But good news is, they the christians of this age will never follow those instructions because Christ preached something contrary to that. How someone in this age and time could stone and burn another to death because of a self conflicting book is worrisome.

The arguments can go on and on in both ways, which has led me to conclude that organized religion is a scam.

I so much cherish spirituality and the esoteric over organized religion.

They will curse they will spit they will intimidate you
They will tell you to read the whole context

Buy one thing you will never get the answer to the question

They will quickly try change the subject
They become experts in bible knowledge
They will ask questions like how can God die

But in their satanic koran Jesus did not die
So Jesus should be God to muslims

So tithing is from the new testament?

Tithing is from the old testament. What the New testament teaches self, most will not be able to agree. So it's better you stay with tithe since it's just a percentage of what you earn.

I saw it too but decided to let him be. I would have understood if he said imole meant "knowledge, the hard way", rather than say "force religion", in the context under discussion.

Mohammed and the polytheists were in the same bed of idol fornication

They had long settled their disputes when Mohammed uplifted their idols with the Satanic verses he received

But the caravan thief still attacked them even when they had no issues with him

Then the Apostle of Allah, may Allah bless him, approached them (Quraysh) and got close to them, and they also came near to him.

One day he was sitting in their assembly near the Ka‘bah, and he recited: "By the Star when it setteth", till he reached, "Have ye thought upon Al-Uzza and Manat, the third, the other".

Satan made him repeat these two phrases: These idols are high and their intercession is expected.
The Apostle of Allah, may Allah bless him, repeated them, and he went on reciting the whole surah and then fell in prostration, and the people also fell in prostration with him.

Al-Walid Ibn Al-Mughirah, who was an old man and could not prostrate, took a handful of dust to his forehead and prostrated on it. It is said: Abu Uhayhah Sa‘id Ibn al-‘As, being an old man, took dust and prostrated on it. Some people say:

It was al-Walid who took the dust; others say: It was Abu Uhayhah; while others say: Both did it. They were pleased with what the Apostle of Allah, may Allah bless him, had uttered.

They said: We know that Allah gives life and causes death. He creates and gives us provisions, but our deities will intercede with Him, and in what you have assigned to them, we are with you.

These words pricked the Apostle of Allah, may Allah bless him. He was sitting in his house and when it was evening, Gabriel, may peace be upon him, came to him and REVISED the surah.

Then Gabriel said: Did I bring these two phrases. The Apostle of Allah, may Allah bless him, said: I ascribed to Allah, what He had not said. THEN ALLAH REVEALED TO HIM:
"And they indeed strove hard to beguile thee (Muhammad) away from that wherewith We have inspired thee, that thou shouldst invent other than it against Us; and then would they have accepted thee as a friend.

And if We had not made thee wholly firm thou mightest almost have inclined unto them a little.

Then had We made thee taste a double (punishment) of living and a double (punishment) of dying then hadst thou found to [sic] helper against Us.

… This prostration became known to people till the news reached Abyssinia and the Companions of the Apostle of Allah, may Allah bless him, that the people of Makkah fell in protraction and joined Islam including al-Walid ...

The people said: When such persons have joined Islam, who else remains in Makkah? They said: Our relatives are dear to us. So they returned.

When they were at a distance of one hour’s walk from Makkah, they confronted some horsemen of Kinanah. They inquired about the Quraysh and their affairs.

The horsemen said: MUHAMMAD SPOKE WELL OF THEIR DEITIES, SO THEY FOLLOWED HIM, but they turned apostate. He began to abuse their gods and they began to harm him. We left them in this struggle.

They discussed that they should return to Abyssinia, but then they said: We have reached here, so let us enter (the town), see the Quraysh and visit our families and then return.

Yeah. What Islam suffers from presently, is that most of them received their doctrine from their teachers. Thus, it is very difficult to change the narrative of the Quranic teachings when those who are being taught are not receiving the teachings in their mother tongue.
Have you always wondered. Majority of Muslims can neither read nor write Arabic fluently yet they are taught Quran and hadiths in Arabic language
By that you mean the SW Muslims. Most from the north can to a reasonable extent

As long as they don't mention "In the name of Jesus", their killing isn't a religiously motivated one abi?

Yes! Because such killings will never be attributed to Jesus, he didn't send any to fight for him. It is only when your name is mentioned for masterminding something that you are called upon to explain yourself. Christians are followers of Christ just like Muslims are followers of Mohammed, but Jesus never commanded any christian to kill for him, but instead show them love, pray for your enemy, don't retaliate and love your neighbours like yourself are the message of Christ.

However, Mohammed directly and indirectly instructed Muslims through controversial quoted texts which make Taliban, Islamic State, Boko Haram, Al-Shabaab, Al-Qaida, Abu Sayyaf and many more misinterpreting or rightly interprete the quoted texts to support their killings. Once you hear Allah Akbar....,in odd places you must run for your life before you hear sound of bomb.

They are all matured enough to know religion and ideology they are representing; they all claimed to be fighting for Islam through inspiration from those Quranic verses and even believe they are practicing better Islam. Do you know how many Islamic terrorist organizations presently in the world? It can't be a coincident having such huge terrorist organizations if they are not inspired by those texts or commanded directly or indirectly by Mohammed with expectation of reward hereafter

From what I understand about Islam, this was during the Jihad wars. It's like quoting Biblical verses in the era of wars or the Mosaic law of an eye for an eye. The teachings of Jesus Christ thereafter emphasised love and peace to put the old laws in proper perspective. That's why no one could stone the prostitute in his presence.

It's good to read and understand the Holy Books.

Did the Koran say the jihad wars have ended, or did it give a specific timeline for ending it?

“They Were Defending Islam, Prophet Muhammad”, Sokoto Residents Plan Mass Protest Over Police Arrest Of Suspected Killers Of Female Student

Some residents of Sokoto State will on Saturday embark on a “mass” protest against the arrest of two people suspected to be involved in the killing of a female student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, identified as Deborah Samuel, for alleged blasphemy.

Following the incident, the police in Sokoto said two suspects had been arrested and taken into custody.
According to the Sokoto police spokesman, Sanusi Abubakar, the mob overpowered campus security before killing the female student and setting her remains on fire.

I was expecting this. And they will overpower the police and burn down the station and disperse without consequence.

If a similar mob action should happen in the East, all the security forces will regroup, mobilize, and head to the town where the crime was committed, kill anything that moved and set the village on fire, and disperse without consequence.

Then suddenly they are now more vocal than everybody spreading hate and intolerance.

I am not against Muslims but they should learn to respect other people's feelings as well.

Muslims cannot tolerate one-hundredeth of what they do and say to others...

They appear to believe that their predilection to violence gives the license to do as they wish without repercussions...

Gibberish

So the Christian Bible is now divided into two and no more Bible

Make you try dey make sense .. even as a Christian

You dey deny Bible

Oga get off my mention

If you are not a Christian you just shut up your mouth.

The tenets of Christianity is very simple in relation to the Old testament: Whatever is contrary to the teachings of Christ, is not practiced in Christianity even if it was practiced by the Jews in the past. Simple.

Why don't you people just accept with your full chest that your religion promotes killings in the 21st century for religious reasons? It is not a big deal per se. It is your belief system. There are people who bury people alive as company for their dead kings. It happens till date. It is their faith. A satanic one/

Trying to rope in Christianity into your madness is very childish and actually nauseating.

Christians don't kill for religious purposes, Muslims kill. Christians don't kill when you insult Jesus, Muslims do. A christian is not permitted to kill under any circumstance (except in self defense).

Even if Christians killed in the past, they have stopped because better knowledge has come. But you people are still killing.

Make una stop all these yeye talk abeg.

You can't do that in Ghana and go free. It is because Nigeria is an unfortunate country that is why we have to put up with all these things.
