Have you contacted IRCC?(Lagos and Abuja Office via mail). Did you get a biometric instructions letter? There must have been a reason your appointment wasn't acknowledged by VFS. shankeybee: |

Read the pre-assesment part. The LES noted that the income isn't commensurate with what in the bank statement. There are inconsistencies with the financial documents you've submitted. Hence, your funds are insufficient. Chefbella: |

Hey guys. When filling the IMM1294e something application, when they ask “funds available for stay”, what do they really mean? |

After submission you will receive a mail in a day or at most a week. Login to you portal and you'll find a biometric instruction letter that you'll take along to enroll for biometrics at VFS No need to submit any hard copy of anything else your biometrics letter,2 copies of your international passport, appointment letter, your intentional passport. When you're ready to go for your enrollment. Thefil: |

Thank you Lekiboboe for your response. Yes, I graduated 2012 and has been in different career like Technical sales Engineer, Inventory Officer etc before venturing into Seamanship. I do not have much evidence to proof to IRCC on my previous employments. I am more fulfilled on this career path than my previous, and has done many professional courses in seamanship which I believe can be a leeway to securing a seat for admission and study permit respectively. I read on this floor that it is advisable to go for a program related to your current career especially when you have upto 10 years study gap. Thank you! Lekiboboe: |

dbeautyful: The real reviews of programs come from students and indepedent organizations. The history section of University Canada West, on Wikipedia, is not glowing. I doubt any program, including MBA, can have of 100% employment rate after 6 months of graduation. The reality is that many masters and phd graduates struggle to find a professional job in Canada. I will even be more skeptical of the school if those reviews are from their webpage. Some of those statistics are interpreted to suit their agenda of attracting more candidate. When schools do survey like this, the often ask "are you working?" not "what type of job do you do?" Do you consider your education valuable or relevant to your job?" Anyone working, even as a laborer, will answer yes to the first question. I bet not every graduate will answer yes to the last question. I would like to see a courageous school that will post result of such survey. I will still take UCW sure admission if i dey 9ja and trying to enter Canada. The easy MBA admission is more appealing to international student. For some locals, UCW MBA probably have a long way to go when it comes to quality and prestige. These are just my personal opinion sha. 4 Likes |

Sam796476: Why you sold it? How much you received? Where and when proceeds were deposited. Attach evidence of the sale. I wouldn't have a separate letter of explanation for that, but will include it in the main LOE or Sponsor letter as an explanation of sources of funds in the bank account. Thanks. 1 Like |

Sam796476: This might not play so well in your favor in the end: "Owning property indicates strong home ties, selling it indicates japa tendencies." This is the case even when you're trying to use the sale of the land as part of your P.O.F. So I was told sha , I no be consultant... |
