The NFF have to believe and invest LONG TERM in grassroots football

That means we must have a league that is economically viable as well as coaching development at the grassroots

In 1994 we were ranked number 5 in the world by FIFA and Finidi George was part of that squad alongside SEVERAL home based players.

We can do that again. it is not an issue of the National coach but NFF with a long term approach.

I will say something that will be controversial. We should ban the European leagues from our TVs.

It does not help us and kills any chances of us ever having a viable league

Once you've landed a job in Nigeria, you have to be extra EXTRA CAREFUL.

I don't wanna sound negative cause I believe in growth, following Peseiro's antecedents as a professional coach, he is simply average. However, he can do well if he takes time and look deeply into our domestic league and the fly Eagles alike; all these overrated foreign players rarely brings nothing short of lacklustry to the game.
In addition, NFF should give him a level play ground to do his business as deemed appropriate by him and his crew, enough of all these bribery and nepotism.

There was external influence with regards the technical team. It was happening during rohr but they were hiding it. Unfortunately, eguavoen didn't have enough time to hide the things taking place in background. As usual, he took the fall

The truth is that he was not there long enough to judge him even if he qualified for the World cup it would have been luck

Westerhof had a very poor start when he was recruited but in the end he did well as he was given plenty of time. Not sure if you were around then but you can check.

Keshi did well and won the AFCON with home based players.

The main trouble with our own coaches is they are susceptible to inappropriate influence and politics

When Westerhof was there he had direct access to Abacha and the powers that be

Although it is good for a tactical indigenous coach to to be in charge of the Super Eagles, do not think that playing for Super Eagles = good coach.
By this I mean there are some indigenous experts have studied about coaching and have the skills to get results in games, but may have never played for the Super Eagles. I don't know if Sir Ferguson or Mourinho ever played for their national teams, but they are good coaches

They patronized Eguavoen na. Where did we end up? If we had replaced Eguavoen after the nations cup, we will be going to Qatar in November. Y’all should leave decision making to the guys paid to do it.
