FFK is right on one.

Southwest cannot be clamoring for presidency to to return to the South in response to rotational presidency without being fair to the Southeast.

If it is coming to the South , it must be Southeast.

If not, Buhari for third term.

Awa la koba yin Ni?

Did the SW force the SE to foolishly put all their eggs in one basket? Ask only PDP for the ticket if you are not a Clown. U want the ticket of ewedu party? Aboki party? Any Igbo who asks for APC's ticket must be a robber just like Orji Kalu who just left prison. Lolz.

The title should be WHY POWER SHOULD REMAIN IN THE NORTH UNTIL THE SOUTH DECIDES TO BE FAIR TO THE SOUTH EAST

The more reason power should leave north is Boko Haram and religious intolerance.

Security is the first challenge.

Nigeria should tell FIFA to dash them the World Cup, that it is Africa’s turn.

If you like, don’t go & hustle for it, who cares where the President of Nigeria comes from, how does that add any value to me as a Nigerian?

But Africa hosted the world cup in 2010 because FIFA gave them a turn. If its about being prepared, Africa would never host a world cup. You get the point now! Now, run along.

I will rather support a Northern president than support anyone from the SS or SW

I may consider the SS, because they have really only been there for just 5 years.

But I will rather vote for a goat, than bring in Tinubu.

Tinubu will soon learn a brutal political lesson from the SS and SE

When I first read the headline, I said this man must have been bribed by Northerners but after reading the details, I realized that he was actually speaking the truth. Igbos should be given the presidency first but it is better that it remains in the North if southerners cannot support the fact that is is the turn of the South east. It's unjust for a Yoruba person to be wanting to be president when Igbos have not had their turn and yet they are both in the south. The last time a Yoruba person was president before Buhari, Igbos voted for him because he was q southerner so it makes common sense for Yorubas and Niger Delta a to support the South East this time else power should remain in the North.

Re: 2023: Why Presidency Should Return To Northern Nigeria – Fani-Kayode by eldoradoxx: 12:31pm On May 17, 2022
Table shakers. But he is right. In 1999 to 2007, Igbos stood solidly behind Obasanjo, a Yoruba man from South West to be President. This was against the battered place Yorubas were coming from as a result of the June 12 debacle and the Abacha phantom military coup that seized and detained major Yoruba officers in the army. It was not caused by the Igbos but the Igbos showed brotherly love to their embittered Southern brothers from the West. They defended Obj's government with everything even when his own people felt that opposition was the better choice. With Igbos on his side Obasanjo institutionalized major reforms unequal till date by any other administration afterwards. An Igbo lady Okonjo helped Nigeria secure major debt relief that stabilized our exchange rate for a long period.

In 2010 till 2015 Igbos again demonstrated their total and uncompromising support for another Southerner, this time Jonathan from South South, they incurred the hatred of surprisingly the Yorubas for supporting a fellow Southerner, a hatred that led to threat to be thrown into the lagoons and attacks at polling units in their dominated areas for objecting to an impending disaster of a Buhari becoming President (it has happened and everybody eye don clear).
Jonathan lost and the enemies of Southern unity won.
So those condemning Igbos for claiming that they will vote North should look critically at the scenario painted above. Are Igbos only good at supporting Southern interest while fellow Southerners don't see to it to support the Eastern interest and bring up all forms of excuses not to.
Power is due to return to South but rather than support a man from the East in reciprocity for the past support, we in the South won't do that.
So North has every justification to want to continue after Buhari, they know that West and South South have both had their turn from 1999 till date, so if they can agree for the East, let the contest be open. So I understand Fani Kayode well on this.

grin He just dey find where to put head.. Blike say oldage don dey disturb his brain. Although ,I think they should give an Igbo man a chance.. But m not seeing a candidate from there. Even peter obi's house is already divided. North are strongly united.. The Yorubas are divided too. So,if care is not taken, the northerners will continue to rule ruin this country..

this idea of rotational presidency or zoning is dead on arrival and it isn't what is going to improve Nigerians democracy anyway, All candidates should undergo primaries or form political parties, Present their manifestos and let the people make their choice through the ballot! that's the only way 4 free and fair elections
Can we allow it go round before you kill it. Don't kill it after collecting your own benefit from it.
