Through the skewed and lopsided political structure of Nigeria created by northern military dictators, the north owns Nigeria.

A lot of southerners don't understand that land mass or population figures is never used as criterion to proliferate too many new political units like states and local government areas, in an area with larger land mass or population, in a country formed by diverse regions/nations.

Creating 19 states in the old Northern region but only 17 states in the two old southern regions is a huge fraud. It tilted overwhelming political powers to the people of the old Northern region.
