The central government will have to make some concessions now in order to manage the situation. If something is not done the situation is headed to a militia-form triheaded escalation in the Southeast, Anioma and Rivers much later. Nigeria will be severely crippled.

There are areas that are contested by the Ijaws in riverine part of Rivers state and some parts of Bayelsa (which are not in the map). These are areas with dual identities of Igbo and Ijaw. But support for a Biafran secession is very high.
