Calvin Bassey's Night of Glory

Even Super Eagles Veteran, Kenneth Omeruo bows to the World Class Showing of Calvin Bassey in a Major European Final.

Omeruo looks at the Defensive prodigy and probably just knows his days in the NT are numbered now more than ever.

Take a bow Bassey.

Nigeria's Left side of Defence could be at its Monstrous best with Zaidu as LB and Bassey as LCB in a 4 man defence. Just juggling the tactical possibilities. wink

I strongly disagree. He is actually a mix of brawn and brain right now. Brutal in Physical battles but also carries a lovely technical touch.

His Vision in the long pass is top notch. His tactical awareness when joining the attack and falling back when needed is also very decent.

He is still young and prone to a few bloopers here or there but lad is the real deal and dropped a display worthy of a textbook reference for young and upcoming defenders.

ChrisKels:
Chinedu Ughelumba otherwise known as Calvin Bassey still has a long way to go. He is all brawn and no brains for now, in other words, he is a gidigbo footballer because positionally as a defender, he is woeful.

Very well explained Meliforme. True football understanding flowing freely from your fingers.

One goal in a major final shouldn't make us forget that Aribo still cannot dictate plays or boss a midfield from a central role. Afterall, he wasn't even deployed as a CM today.

He is always at his peak best when played closer to the box. Today he wasn't even deployed as a false 9. He was Played further upfront. More like a CF. Yes... Aribo played 9 today but interpreted it rather differently.

Just shows you that when Aribo is not burdened with playmaking/Midfield conduction (which he clearly doesn't have the natural knack to do) but focused on playing close to the box to create attack overloads and use his knack for quick 1-2 interchanges and high workrate to bring his mates into the game, and provided that a genuine MF conductor takes up the playmaking part, then WE WILL SEE THE TRUE AND UNDILUTED BEST OF ARIBO.

Once again, well analysed.

Meliforme:

I have always touted that Aribo should be played closer to the 18 yard box.
His coaches are just making a discovery that i have since made.

Aribo is a good player but a poor midfielder. He lacks the intelligence and technique required for the central midfielder role. His good touches and control of the ball hides his deficiencies as a midfielder to the eye that is unlearned.

I want you guys to know that as far as the central midfielder role is concerned, the difference between Nwakali and Aribo is wide, with Nwakali having the edge.

A game of this magnitude is supposed to see Aribo in central midfield duties, but no, he was deployed as a false 9, which to me is a revelation and by a good extent his best position.

bobo na engine. Clubs like ac Milan, man united, juve and even new money bags Newcastle that re rebuilding should gamble on him. With his age and talent he is worth gambling on. He just has 2 years left in his contract and with a fee as low as 4m pounds rangers may be forced to sell

Also if Ghana international sanusi leaves Southampton for Barca as rumored he will be a good replacement for him. The saints always recruits from the Scottish league. Leicester as well can resign him as an option in their cb/lb positions

The only interest so far is from Aston villa but nothing concrete yet

Van bronkhorst just tweeted that he is scared that rangers will lose bassey and aribo in the summer

I won’t call it a gamble ,he is not expensive but very good

Salisu to Barca ? Na craze Dey worry Barca

What are cognitive enhancer drugs?

Cognitive enhancers are drugs or supplements that are claimed to improve cognitive function. Some popular cognitive enhancers include caffeine, nicotine, and modafinil. The effectiveness of these drugs is unclear and more research is needed to determine whether they actually improve cognitive performance. In this blog post, we will get to know more about these cognitive-enhancing drugs and how they can boost our brains!
