This is BBC helping their own. What effort has been made by Channels, TVC, Silverbird, or even those retards at NTA to support budding football talents on our local fronts?

I remember days when Pepsi Football Academy was functional and was revered across the nation. Scouts were always here, keeping tabs on young talents and moving them offshore.

Those programs are off the books now and no one is bothered, not even the media. Our local clubs don’t even have existent academies, and no one is saying a thing. There are no programs designed to encourage the integration of the younger talents into the PL sides.

The last time I paid a visit to Enyimba feeders, i.e the youth team of Enyimba, a 35-year-old was standing as the team’s captain and the boys haven’t received their monthly salary in four months. Na me buy two bags of pure water for them for Wilcox Secondary School that day.

No hope playing footie here if your parents/guardians aren’t rich. You simply either end up being a DJ in a club or a tailor in Ariaria.
