Hi guys,
Gotten admission for spring 2023, obtained i-120 with my current passport, expires by May 2023.
Passport can only be renewed within 6months of expiration.

With the passport validity by Embassy (passport must be valid at least 6months after your program), it is accurate to book an appointment with my current passport, on the day of interview i go along with the both my current and new passport.

Hi, must one wait for 60 days before applying for emergency appointment? I seem to be confident with the 60days rule.

Boss .. how was your interview today? Trust it went well....Anxiously waiting to read your transcript.

KingBunmi:
Hello guys,

Please I would be having my visa interview later this Thursday in Abuja but I reside in Lagos. I would like to get my passport as soon as I possibly can. I do not have a place to stay in Abuja after the interview so I plan to have my passport delivered to Lagos.

Does anyone have an idea of how long such delivery would take??

Need a response urgently so I can make plans accordingly.

Good Morning All, I have been denied US visa like 3 times now. Infact i have given up on it right now and maybe try other countries that i can go for my masters. I just want to share my transcript so that people can learn from my experience.

Tbvh guy I think you did well in the interview. The close relatives you have are they your parents or siblings? How do you think they could have traced them to you.

I support that you should try another country, maybe UK if you have atleast £6k to £8k you can go for a tuition below £14000. Then you’ll raise the rest while working there. Consider it, some schools are still accepting applications, research yourself.

She took our passports and gave us the passport pick-up paper and said to always have my i20 with me at the port of entry or something like that... I didn't ask how long it will take to issue it.
Myfavour22:

Since 10th? How long did the consular tell you that the passport will be ready for collection during the interview
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Ormoretayour: 3:12pm On May 19, 2022
She shld go back to that branch and tell dem she want to pay for STUDENT VOCATIONAL that's for F2 visa while STUDENT ACADEMY is for the F1. And if paying online she can select the student vocational option

[quote author=johniebino post=112949286]Hello guys, good job being done.

Please I will appreciate an urgent reply. My wife was at GT to pay for F1 and F2 visas but was told she can only make payments for F2 through an app. She got the app and still can't seen where and how to pay for F2 visa, please anyone with the idea on how she can pay for both F1 and F2 visas.

Don't you think the informations on your D-160 could be the problem? People mostly get denied the F-1 visa, because of lack of home ties.

It is possible. My parents and some of my siblings are here in Nigeria. I also have a job. The only thing is that i have not gotten married
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Ebi1(f): 4:50pm On May 19, 2022
yea... for emotional support... he should also go with the clearance receipt from the hospital... i just hope they don't drill him too much about why you gave birth in the US as its kinda not allowed now... and they might ask why he didn't go with you initially...
Chynwem:
Please I have a question to ask about F2 visa interview.
I am currently in the US with F1, I just gave birth and my husband is about to go for his F2 visa interview, is it appropriate for him to tell the VO that he wants to come help me out for few months in taking care of baby while I go to school?
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 16 by Nobody: 4:53pm On May 19, 2022
Did you include having any relatives in the u.s on your ds-160?

How about your sponsor, did what you say in the interview tally with what you filled on your ds-160?

What was your answer to the question asking you where you are going to put up once you get to the u.s?

What was your answer to the question asking you if you have any travel plans, yes or no?

About your last interview, you said he was typing, looking at his screen, then he brought out the blue slip. My instincts tell me the issue is with your ds-160.

Lastly, you said you would be coming back to solve the power situation in your country. I think this answer is too generic. Its better you personalize this answer. If I were you, I'd talk about a PERSONAL PROJECT I've been working on that would help reduce the power deficits, how it would help reduce this deficit, and how this master's program helps increase your capacity to be successful in materializing this project.

Or better still, you could just talk about how this masters helps your career progression in your work place. How having a masters is a criteria for clinching certain positions. But then, some vo (the Korean vo..lol) might ask why can't you do the masters in Nigeria? What would you say?

Hi guys Pls I initially scheduled an appointment for Abuja without using EA. Just normal process.

Now I want to switch to Lagos and use my EA for Lagos as soon as I approach my '60 days to resumption date'

How do I go about this pls?

Thank you as you respond

please I have a question.
So the school I applied to in the US doesn't require GRE, but people around me have been saying i should still write it because they will ask for it in the embassy, so please do they really ask for test scores during the interview?

You should ask the school if it's required for funding that's the koko. If they clearly state that you don't need it for them to fund you then if you can't afford, don't write. It's not required for interview

Best of luck

Is there any watsapp group for students going to Maryland

Femotech123:
Lagos
Bachelor degree
Coa: $23,699
No funding: (haven’t been decided yet till May ending according to DSO of the school)
school: EIU
Vo : do your thumbprint
Vo : you are going for your bachelor degree right
Me : yes bachelor degree in political science
Vo : why this school
Me : I chose this school because it’s cheap and very affordable for my sponsor and she cut in
Vo : 49$ is not cheap!
Me: No ma my COA is just $23k+ ( but due to the SOA I send to get my i20 after they calculated the money with there rate is was equivalent to $49k so they input it like that so the family fund was $49k as indicated on my I20 I think that is why she said it’s not cheap) she check and quickly confirm and nodded.
Vo : who is spending a lot on you
Me : my brother he has been supporting me since when I want for my diploma course and he is ready and welling to support me
Vo : what does he do.
Me : he is a politician (I mute for a while immediately I wanted to say he Former deputy she cut in and ask
Vo : what will you do with the course
Me : I will come come to Nigeria to continue work at my place of work but in higher position. I can be transferred to state secretariat or federal and I will start my political ambition by joining political party.
Vo : type and type and type like 5min self and eventually she said you aren’t qualified for this and brought out the blue pepper.

Please guys at @moshkom and at every other gurus in this house just advise me pls and I will appreciate this is my 3 attempt and I am 25. Should I try again or I should just go back and complete my hnd and apply for masters or I should try once again ?
Secondly my sevis fee will expire on July eventually if I apply and get date lets say by August (aug 22 is my program start date ) hope I will still be able to use the sevis fee or I will have to pay for another sevis fee again.

1. Just as the VO said, it's not cheap. None of the two(23k and 49k)
2. If DSO said funding will be decided by end of May, why didn't you wait for decision before going for the interview?
3. How was your 1st and 2nd interview was it same school??
