You'll need two guarantor who have current account that will sign for u.
The rest are simple.

Some Banks open their Dom Account with minimum of 50dollars and seems Polaris bank minimum of 25dollars

My dollar account under Access bank was opened for free. Someone sent me dollar straight to my naira account and bank automatically opened a dollar account for me I think 1 dollar was deducted from from the funds dat was all.

Can you access the account via mobile or internet banking? While you can withdraw the money at the time, I think you may have to do some validation or so to have a proper Dom account.

If he/she already had a current account, that is all the validation they need. A dorm account can easily be created from a current account. Except that wasn’t the case.

yes I could access the funds through my mobile app, but the first time I went to de bank to withdraw the actually verified the account b4 I could withdraw that is adding a photo and signature to de account but no charges at all. Note: I can only make dollar to dollar transactions. No dollar to naira transaction.

Lol. I am curious too. If there is anything I believe happened - someone sent him dollar via some other medium and probably they didn’t have cash or a particular dollar denomination. So they had to open a dorm account immediately to receive the inflow. But that they sent dollars to his Naira account? Oh well, I would love to try that out.

The money wasn’t sent to yur Naira account. Dollars cannot be sent to your Naira account. What you did was cash pickup- World Remit most likely.

Still possible. The account wasn’t entirely FOC. When inflow is guaranteed or already available like in your case, protocols would be broken. However, if there is already a current account in place, you wouldn’t need to regularize.

If indeed they opened a dorm account for you, then you have a dorm account. They may only need you to validate the account.

USD can be sent to A Naira account. The system automatically creates a dom account for your Naira account and its linked to your BVN. So when you go to your bank to withdraw they will ask for your ID and ask you to regularize the account ( fill account opening form/ provide passport photo/ provide proof of residency aka nepa bill) after which you can withdraw. You can choose to maintain or close account later.
