Hello, For students that their course has co-op, how do you show proof of co-op apart from admission letter? Is the admission letter enough proof or do I need to ask for a letter from my school? I am going to Lambton college. Please help |

Biko, my people I have come again for your guidance. I want to notarise my documents, please how do I go about? Does anyone have any affordable contact for this or is it something I can do myself in court. Thank you |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by ShowYoung: 4:47am On May 23, 2022 |
olutoyiin:If you reside in Nigeria, just visit a court of law of any jurisdiction and ask them to notarize your documents. It's just like asking the court to "stamp" your declaration of age affidavit. It costs just #100 - #500. If you go by asking a lawyer to notarize your documents, you'll pay bills. 4 Likes 1 Share |

JORDAN55: Hi... for NBCC admission letter, its like 4 to 5 pages.. there is a seperate letter that address your co-op included in your admission letter. You would need to upload the co-op letter in your study visa application. I am sure it would be included in yours too 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by legenduq(m): 9:21am On May 23, 2022 |
Your school is required to issue you a letter for that because if you select the co-op box while filling your application, IRCC will require you to upload it separately when submitting the application (New Portal). JORDAN55: 2 Likes |

Please house am asking again. Does anyone know what counts against an applicant in the medical report |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by ShowYoung: 10:04am On May 23, 2022 |
kichi2000: 1. If you are tested positive of Syphilis. 2. If you are tested positive of HIV/AIDS. 3. If you are suspected of having Tuberculosis or history of it. No3. can only delay because if they see any scar in your XRay, they'll send you additional medical examination request whether or not you have TB. This will require you to go for TB sputum and culture test. It'll take you 8 - 10 weeks to complete this if the result comes out negative, but if positive, you will be on another journey of 8 months to treat the TB. There have been some who have treated TB since 20 years ago, the X-ray brought out the scar, Canada doesn't want to take any chance: IRCC had to subject them to additional medical examination. This means if you have had TB in the past, it's better to tell the doctor now so they can start the process of checking whether or not you still have TB. 1 Like |

I have seen HIV positive persons on other platforms who got ppr. They had to declare it during the medicals and show proof of being able to afford the cost of medication. ShowYoung: 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 21 by ShowYoung: 10:30am On May 23, 2022 |
Chuksiesmom:Having one of the diseases stated above doesn't mean outright visa denial. IRCC will ask the applicant to come forward with a mitigation plan in a case of HIV/AIDS. If the mitigation plan is able to convince IRCC successfully, the person is cleared. This is difficult though. The person was able to get PPR because (s)he showed strong mitigation plan for HIV/AIDS and it's very rare. Mitigation plan acceptance is 50/50 chance for HIV/AIDS and with very fat bank account. The person must be financially strong because the person is committing to the fact that (s)he would not be enrolled in any Canadian health insurance plan and the Government will not be responsible for the cost of treatment and management. Not everyone can provide such huge amount of money they may be requesting to see the applicant has. Syphilis too is treatable, it can only delay. TB and Syphilis mitigation plan are in the fact that they are treatable in as much as the patient shows seriousness in treating it and tests would be done after treatment. If tested negative, the applicant is cleared to travel. 6 Likes |

ShowYoung: You nailed it but didn't mention Hepatitis B and C, they would need a doctors medical report that you pose no threat to the Canadian society by demonstrating that you have actually been on treatment or compliant with your medication, in addition to that they will require a confirmatory laboratory parameters in order to be convinced that you are good to go |
