Violence is not the answer. At this point now, a peaceful dialogue and conduction of a free and fair referendum by all the indigenous people of Nigeria will put all this unrest to rest. But the powers that be will never heed to that. Simply because they don't want a new government that will out perform them in all ramifications. They'd rather have a more wicked and callous govt that will make them look like saints to precede them. That way posterity will be favorable to them when their names get mentioned in the book of history. 9ja is just on an irreversible free fall on all fronts I swear angry

I wonder why.

Only a madman will try to fight masked foreign terrorists who have AK47 rifles with bare hands.

Especially illegal ones paid by El Rufai for killing Nigerians and encouraged by Bala Mohammed to carry AK47s.

nairavsdollars:
Ondo state governor, Rotimi Akeredolu on Monday came hard on his counterpart, Governor Bala Mohammed of BauchState for justifying the usage of arms by Fulani herdsmen.

Mohammed, last week had said herdsmen bearing AK-47 are forced to do so because the government has failed to secure their lives and livelihood.

However, speaking on Channels Television programme ‘Politics Today’ monitored by Daily Independent, Akeredolu said Bala Mohammed did not act as a statesman and his statement is capable of further igniting the crisis.

“Certainly, Bala Mohammed has not spoken as a statesman. He probably lost out as to what his reaction should be. How will a governor in this country today come out and say people should be allowed to carry arms when it is illegal ?”

“And not just mere arms, he said they should go about with AK-47 when even carrying some double-barreled gun is illegal. So, people are not licenced to carry guns but Bala Mohammed is suggesting to us that they should be able to carry it. For what purpose?”

“ Bala Mohammed has even poured more petrol into the fire because his speech is unexpected of him. any statesman or governor should not speak that way. You ask herdsmen to carry guns to protect themselves, so I should also ask my people to carry guns to protect themselves”.

“ If that happens, it is going to be very serious and nobody will be spared. So, statements like that should be condemned and I condemned it” he said.

We’ve paid some Fulani to stop killings in Southern Kaduna – El-Rufai
ON DECEMBER 3, 201611:00 AMIN NEWS
Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir el-Rufai has said his government has traced some violent, aggrieved Fulani to their countries and paid them to stop the killings of Southern Kaduna natives and the destruction of their communities saying that the renewed violence is carried out by bandits.

El-Rufai made this known while fielding questions from some select Journalists in his office in Kaduna.

He said: “For southern Kaduna, we didn’t understand what was going on and we decided to set up a committee under Gen. Martin Luther Agwai (rtd) to find out what was going on there. What was established was that the root of the problem has a history starting from the 2011 post election violence.

“Fulani herdsmen from across Africa bring their cattle down towards Middle Belt and Southern Nigeria. The moment the rains starts around March, April, they start moving them up to go back to their various communities and countries.

“Unfortunately, it was when they were moving up with their cattle across Southern Kaduna that the elections of 2011 took place and the crisis trapped some of them.

“Some of them were from Niger, Cameroon, Chad, Mali and Senegal. Fulanis are in 14 African countries and they traverse this country with the cattle.

“So many of these people were killed, cattle lost and they organised themselves and came back to revenge.

“So a lot of what was happening in Southern Kaduna was actually from outside Nigeria. We got a hint that the late Governor Patrick Yakowa got this information and he sent someone to go round some of these Fulani communities, but of course after he died, the whole thing stopped. That is what we inherited. But the Agwai committee established that.

“We took certain steps. We got a group of people that were going round trying to trace some of these people in Cameroon, Niger republic and so on to tell them that there is a new governor who is Fulani like them and has no problem paying compensations for lives lost and he is begging them to stop killing.

Years back, they promised to make the SE look like the NE being ravaged by Boko Haram.

Fear is before long, they will start mass kidnap for ransome of school children in the SE and say it's IPOB looking for money to restore Biafra.

Too much bloodletting in the land, it is the innocent that i pity in Nigeria today. If you are innocent in this sh*thole country, my advice for you is to be very very security conscious. Avoid fruitless conversation with anyone on sensitive issues, if your area is prone to attack, try to move your family to a new location or device personal means to protect yourself. Don't fight anyone unnecessarily in this country o as our police institutions are almost non-existent. Nobody really care about you as you do for yourself and family, remember this. If it happened, na your cross and only you go cary am.

I think it is high time a State Of Emergency is declared in Anambra and other states in the south east under siege by these terrorists masking themselves as UGM.
I call on Government to do the needful NOW.
We can't continue like this.
