I swear I fell for this lawyer who ripped me off 35,just for 2 affidavits and CTC of court proceedings, why are they like that? Professional fee ko! Ni! ShowYoung:
If you reside in Nigeria, just visit a court of law of any jurisdiction and ask them to notarize your documents.
It's just like asking the court to "stamp" your declaration of age affidavit. It costs just #100 - #500.
If you go by asking a lawyer to notarize your documents, you'll pay bills. |

Having one of the diseases stated above doesn't mean outright visa denial. IRCC will ask the applicant to come forward with a mitigation plan in a case of HIV/AIDS. If the mitigation plan is able to convince IRCC successfully, the person is cleared. This is difficult though.
The person was able to get PPR because (s)he showed strong mitigation plan for HIV/AIDS and it's very rare.
Mitigation plan acceptance is 50/50 chance for HIV/AIDS and with very fat bank account. The person must be financially strong because the person is committing to the fact that (s)he would not be enrolled in any Canadian health insurance plan and the Government will not be responsible for the cost of treatment and management. Not everyone can provide such huge amount of money they may be requesting to see the applicant has.
Syphilis too is treatable, it can only delay.
TB and Syphilis mitigation plan are in the fact that they are treatable in as much as the patient shows seriousness in treating it and tests would be done after treatment. If tested negative, the applicant is cleared to travel. Please, do you have any idea whether someone who underwent additional medical examinations last year— owing to a suspicion of TB by the IRCC— might be asked to go for another sputum test after the expiration of the former medicals, even though the former TB test was negative? |

legenduq: Your school is required to issue you a letter for that because if you select the co-op box while filling your application, IRCC will require you to upload it separately when submitting the application (New Portal).
Hi, Also where can I get information about this new IRCC portal. Please help |

Your medical validity starts counting from the date you completed your sputum and culture test — that is after the 8 to 10 weeks wait time of culture test. Let us suppose your medical was passed on Oct1. Your medical will expire next Sept 30. Panel Physician and others here are in the best position to give you accurate answer to whether you'll be asked to repeat the same process, but if they know what they are doing, they shouldn't ask you to complete another sputum and culture test. 2 Likes |

I didn't mention Hepatitis B & C because I doubt they'll know if it's not visible or doesn't show any clinical manifestation.
I don't see where they've tested for that for study visa. You never said anything about high blood pressure, I thought hbp is part of what they check. |

Wow! I never knew about the issue you raised here regarding the validity of medical examinations, following the completion of sputum investigations after the wait time. I had rather thought that it expires within one year of the test, excluding the time taken for the result of TB test to be released. If that's the case, my medical results are still valid until the 12th of August, 2022. Unknowingly, I had already booked and paid for another medical appointment with IOM this Wednesday. Please, what do you advise I do now, considering the validity of my medicals of last year? |

1. If you are tested positive of Syphilis. 2. If you are tested positive of HIV/AIDS. 3. If you are suspected of having Tuberculosis or history of it.
No3. can only delay because if they see any scar in your XRay, they'll send you additional medical examination request whether or not you have TB. This will require you to go for TB sputum and culture test. It'll take you 8 - 10 weeks to complete this if the result comes out negative, but if positive, you will be on another journey of 8 months to treat the TB.
There have been some who have treated TB since 20 years ago, the X-ray brought out the scar, Canada doesn't want to take any chance: IRCC had to subject them to additional medical examination. This means if you have had TB in the past, it's better to tell the doctor now so they can start the process of checking whether or not you still have TB. I don’t think HIV is part of it because they get PPR too |

LONGGGGGG POST ALERT!!!
Guys I really do not know where to start from! I'm short of words. God's just too good to fail. I'm still in shock cause I can't really fathom why my application was this quick or why I was just favoured, but I give God all the glory! For he alone is to be praised!
I've been following this thread for about 4yrs now. Just observing with no plans to submit my application. Was just here for the information basically, and to read people's process (which I enjoyed doing) didn't even know I'd eventually apply. Time came for me to apply, I was scared to the Bone! I was scared to doing it myself! My sponsor (brother) literally begged me to look for an Agent to handle my application, I was skeptical at first, but I succumbed cause I didn't want any issue or stories that touch.
I contacted an agent on this platform, he charged me 150K for admission and 250K for Visa. My sponsor agreed to pay for the first stage (admission). Las las I eventually paid 190K for only admission!!! Only school admission ohhh!!!
Then it was time for Visa Application, and I was told Visa Fee has increased to 300K. And I was like hell No!!! I no go school? Am I daft? No! I can do this shi# myself. 300K no be 300 naira.
That's how it began, took a leap of faith and decided to do and handle my Visa Process myself, and God blessed me with the GOLDEN Mail (PPR)! Guys please do this stuff yourself! You can do it! Yes YOU! You can! There's nobody else that cares about your application than you! You don't need any agents NAIRALAND is the real deal! NAIRALAND taught me everything I know and used to get my Approval.
I'm a FIRST TIME APPLICANT, my timeline goes thus, I used the NEW PORTAL,

Lo and behold, today, Correspondence Letter and PPR letter - 27th January 2022 (Basically my application took 1 month and 28days)

I'd also like to use this medium to appreciate Teemenzo and EyinjuGod. God bless you guys again for everything. You were with me from the start to the end. I'm rooting for you both. My prayers aren't complete yet, till y'all get your PPR's
I also want to appreciate Makano for the series of questions of mine he answered. God bless you boss. Ketima, thank you for always assisting and encouraging everyone. You actually encouraged me to do this myself and I appreciate, Scotisshh (dunno if I got the spelling correctly) your testimony dey come. Lianna aka Rela, thank you for your encouraging email replies. I also want to thank you all, my fellow Nairalanders for the congratulatory messages and mentions.

Good day all, please I am quite confused about this notarizing documents. Please does notarizing in a notary public make your documents more authentic than in a high court? Does the VO see any issues with where you notarized?
Thanks |

Oh Lord, we have come before you this week asking for your favour and mercy. Please let this week be better than last week. Bless our Monday and let the showers of ppr begin. Open doors for all 2021 applicants and correct the timelines for all those whose timelines look messy. Grant us the grace to continually trust in you. To all those who have received delays, give them the wisdom to understand their errors and reapply. We know you did it for us last week and we believe you have more in store for us this week.
