S1 totally blew me away not gonna lie, the blend of animation style and the blend of stories was so top tier. I was skeptical about S2 topping it with fewer episodes and when i saw the ratings dipped from S1, i didn't bother to see it, and i was hoping S3 would ignite my interest. So in all honest, is S2 a lost cause, should i skip to S3?

Had to catch up on this so I could jump on the third season ASAP.
The second season of LD+R suffers from the success of the first season. With big shoes to fill, it tries and fails to match up to the first season's offerings. With less than half of the first season's 18 episodes at 8 episodes, fans probably hoped the stories had been better curated and they were being offered the cream of the crop. So, the backlash is completely understandable.
That's not to say it was a complete bust though. There were a few standout episodes.
Episode 7 - Life Hutch: A wounded space pilot is trapped in an air station with a malfunctioning maintenance robot. A tense battle for survival with the clock running out on the pilot's life, this episode delivers a suspense-filled story with engaging storytelling that will have you focused on the screen.

Episode 4 - Snow in the Desert: follows an albino man, Snow, who's being hunted because of a regenerative ability that basically renders him almost immortal. The story mixes hard hitting action with soft, emotional moments and delivers a pretty wholesome conclusion.

Episode 8 - The Drowned Giant: If you like National Geographic diary episodes or something of that nature, you'll definitely like this one. And that's just the surface presentation. The Drowned Giant touches on a lot of topics about life, nature, reactions & relationships on a deeper level. I find myself going back to this episode and pondering on some of the lessons and messages it tries to pass across.
Fair Warning: It's a total gamble, though. You'll either love it or you'll curse me for wasting your time and data

Also, if you can spare 5 minutes, check out Episode 6 - All Through the House. Just go in blind and wait for the twist.
