Its not pegged to gold. Stop spreading bullshit, please. Central bank said they will buy gold at 5000 rub/gram. Has since been suspended as ruble strengthened leading gold to drop below 5000 rub/gram on international markets. Its now purchased by negotiated prices.

Its also not pegged until there is a selling level., otherwise its just buying gold.

Pipe dream. Russia economy is going to bleeped for the foreseeable future. Many professionals have said even if the war ended today. The economy is completely doomed and it's not like sanctions will end right away either. The government has done everything it can to create false demand for the ruble, which is not only unsustainable but prior historical examples in Argentina for instance show that the currency could plummet uncontrollably because of these policies. It's only a matter of time before it does, and this false reality Russia has tried to create fades.
Honestly, no matter what, by the end of 2022. Russia's economy will be completely destroyed and anyone who is linked to it will experience just as bad.
