You don't need to have sleepless nights over this. If you are not ready to travel now then reapply for a new visa. Attached copy of the visa to your new application. State the reason why you unable to visit UK as planned in your next application.

Indeed , there was no sleepless night on the matter , just that I understand one has to respect such pass , hence I wasn't sure as to no direct info regarding the situation was found online or on their site ..

Thanks to you all wonderful people

If you drop a question on this thread, if anyone knows the answer they’ll reply ..
this is how everyone has assisted one way or the other.

if a part of what is being said is not accurate or upto date.. be sure someone else that knows will add their own information…
So waiting for some particular persons to answer when you have got credible answers will not work
The other ppl replying are now what… @rkayfree the last page ppl have been answering, yet I dnt know what else to be honest

You are right , but sometimes hearing directly from the GO , does build more sigh of relief if you know what I mean .... But don't worry , I would try not to call out any name again .... Thanks

Haiziik:
Good evening, I have been scheduled for a video interview at the visa center Ikeja tomorrow. Has anyone been called for such recently.
I've been trying to prepare all day. Please does anyone know the likely questions to be asked. Applied for the tier 5 charity worker visa. Thank you

Don't waste your money. Save the money you plan to spend on your Ghana and Togo trip. UK visa officers don't reckon with those Countries. Fill your form carefully, have a clean bank statement. Be honest. Good luck!

Thanks a lot sir . How much do we need to have in our salary account ( me and wife or just me to be the sponsor ) or will just a regular account do. To make it clean maybe I set up a new bank account and please for how many months do I run it before application .

My advise: remember everything you stated in your form. You will be asked the same question in different ways. Ensure your anwers are consistent. It is just psychology. They want to catch you in case you choose to lie. Do not lie. If you don't understand a question, say you don't and ask the interviewer to repeat the question. Be honest. Be calm. Pray. Good luck!

If it's only you traveling, reduce your budget.... Also how much do you earn on a monthly basis??

Yea, it’s just me and I earn about 350k monthly but if we add other bonus I get, it’s about 420k monthly. So what budget is advisable and yea, bulk will go on flight then hotel accommodation for 5 days then little tour and personal shopping
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by geolan(m): 2:48pm On May 24, 2022
Cashmadam:

Too much. N1M maximum. You can actually spend about N800,000 - if you have free accomodation. Your ticket will take the bulk - about N420,000 depending on the airline and the period.

If I put 1m

Ticket takes 420k
Hotel can take 300k
Then shopping and tours will take less than 200k for the 5 days?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by meccisoft(f): 3:25pm On May 24, 2022
Today makes it 26th working days and I sent the second mail, this morning and I just got a mail that its still awaiting decision, for how long am tired. am suppose to resume work next week 1st of June, and decision hasn't been made yet..sigh!!

Try to limit your expenses to two months of your disposable income. i.e. If you earn 420k monthly and spend 50k out of it, your disposable income will be 370k. Two months of it will be 740k. Hence I'd advise you limit your budget to a maximum of 800k.

Spending 1m for a 5day trip would raise concerns for the ECO.

FLIGHT 420K
HOTEL 150K
LIVING COST 150K
Total:- 720k

And what does it mean where they asked

Total amount of money that you get in a year.

Do I need to calculate the money I save on a yearly basis and add the bonus and allowances or what?

Thanks for the responses so far. It’s highly appreciated

Thanks for this and judging with 150k for 5 days, does that mean hotel bills will be 30k a day which is about 60 usd a day?

It simply means how much you earn on a monthly basis both work and additional income then you times it by 12....

Meaning your income #450k X 12? Hope u understand now??

Also reduce that hotel budget it's too much, there's no crime using an hostel sef just to reduce your budget My 2 cent ✌️✌️✌️

LONG MESSAGE ALERT
Thank you, interview went well
Q. Your name, DOB, Nationality
What are you going to do in the UK
Your role?
What's your salary
No salary, it's a volunteering and charity work
How did you know about the job
What made you the best candidate for the job
Who is the head of the organization?
Do you know him personally? No
Where will you be staying? I told him
Who's stays there? Idk but it's an arrangement from the organization
Is it a private facility or a hotel? Private
Tell us about the recruitment process with dates?
Have u travelled out of the country before? No
Have u done charity in African countries before? No
So why UK? This is where the opportunity is coming this time and I want to take it to give more to the society, it's going to be an added value to me and it will open more opportunities for me internationally
When are u meant to start work?
April 1st
That has passed, do you think it's still necessary
Charity and volunteering has no time bound, giving is not meant for a particular time,
And I've also been in contact with my employer and they're willing to reschedule once my visa is granted
What do you do here? I told her about my business
Who will manage it when you're away? My wife is an accountant and she can manage it properly when I'm away. My sister too can handle a number of things being a staff and has taken several lead roles
What's your monthly income? I said roughly N150k
Who will take care of your wellbeing there? My employer
Including food? Yes
How will ur family here be taken care of? From my biz
In case you need to take care of something, how will u do that? I have about N500k as savings with a cooperative society and I have access to *4 of that if need arise but I don't think there will be such emergency
Did you do this process yourself or someone helped you? Did myself.
These are the questions I can remember now but there were even more questions that this.
Spent about 1hr25mins for the interview.
She said she's impressed and inspired and also said she's not the one to take a decision that it's just a part of the process, that she's going to send the video and typed answers to the department that will take the decision.
I even said I thought there was going to be an apology due to the delay, she made some explanations and apologized on behalf of the team. In all, it was a long but interesting and interactive conversation.
I just hope my financial figures is OK as I dont know what their minimum requirements are for my finances. Just told them the truth about it. Hopefully I get a positive decision soon.

Depends on a lot of things. If you can, open a new account and ensure no unnecesarily large deposits go into it. Run it for at least 6 months - longer if possible.

Good evening all,
Thanks for all your advice and response to people issues.
I intended travelling to the UK,l had filled the form online, but am having issues paying the Visa fee.
I tried with my Zenith bank Master card,it didn't go through.
I also called a friend in the States, who even gave me his card details, but it's still the same.
Pls can anyone help out,if there are other ways to pay the Visa fee.
Abeg l don dey on this for over 5 days.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Haiziik: 4:09am On May 25, 2022
Try this, let the person login to your UKVI account and pay from the other side. It shoukd go through. If it doesn't then try using barter by flauterwave. You will create a virtual dollar card and pay through that BUT the rate is high if you don't mind. Someone assisted me in paying with his card from the UK for the IHS but I paid the Visa fee with my barter card.
Thanks you
