It's not really something new, but things we mostly ignore.

One of such things that's ignored and we fail to nuture in marriage of today is companionship. And companionship in marriage comes first before procreation, which is one of the many reasons for marriage.

Some people will tell you/have the belief that one can have children as a single father or mother, which is true.

But, those children given birth to and trained by single parents are mostly the ones that grow up not knowing the benefits of parental care.

They are mostly the ones that grow up waywardly and doesn't have human feelings and goes on to have the belief that marriage is worthless.

That saying which goes by "when the right hand washes the left and the left washes the right, both becomes cleaner" can be compared to marriage which is of mutual benefits.

We can go on and on regarding reasons that make marriage worthwhile.
