I mean, I agree with you in part because that is how it works. If a Muslim man kills his girlfriend in a fit of rage, even if she was Ogboni, it will not be treated as a religiously provoked murder so the hoopla will be less. To add to that, there will be a general consensus about how diabolical the act was and many will expect the full powers of the law to deal with him.

But when you have a religiously provoked killing, it will always be polarizing because you will see fellow murderers who are excited by the killing because of their religious alignments. You cannot meaningfully expect the same level of outcry when religion is not involved.

To make the comparison between a terrorist attack and a religious one is largely disingenuous for the proponents of such arguments. That is false equivalency on overdrive. IPOB are equal opportunity offenders. That lady did not need to be Muslim or a northerner to get killed. Look at most of the other IPOB murders to see this.
