Disclaimer: Someone forwarded this to me and at first I thought it was an official government media publication. However, on closer examination it appeared that it was written by someone using a nom de guerre. So, it might just be someone making suggestion to government, albeit anonymously. Some of the ideas are not bad though. However, until a “Choco Nwaigbo” steps forward to claim this, we should treat it as non-official. Caveat emptor! 1) All Villages/Communities give me 40 men 2) They will be vigilantes 3) 30 Will be publicly known, while 10 will be INTEL 4) They MUST come from that village 5) They will be ARMED 6) They will be PAID BY GOVERNMENT MONTHLY 7) They will work 12 hours daily on 2 shifts 8 ) Intelligence reports to the governor straight 9) IPOB Carry on with your lawful activities 10) All Markets and parks MUST have security under government payroll 11) CCTV at entrance of EVERY MARKET and PARKS 12) Traditional Rulers MUST agree to report ANY suspicion or loose their staff of office 13) Every restaurant owner MUST be an INTEL under government payroll 14) All Drug dealers MUST be made to stop or move to another city or state 15) All tenants and foreigners in every community MUST be thoroughly investigated 16) The Town Crier system should be brought back 17) Security connection should be made between villages 18) All Native doctors should be made to subscribe to this peace initiative 19) Pastors and priests are also among INTELS 20) Steps to release Nnamdi Kanu must be made public. There must be sincere attempts by leaders to release him. He should be released. Choco Nwaigbo ESQ Special Remote Adviser to the governor on security matters 3 Likes |

Well, my own suggestion is that any security steps being contemplated should BE PROACTIVE rather than reactive. The steps should involve taking the fight to these killers in the bushes where they are hiding. Every community should ensure that there are no terrorist camps anywhere inside the bushes in their community. Being in constant offensive/pursuit against them will solve the problem rather than waiting for them to pick the time and place of attack. CONSTANTLY PURSUE THEM. Never allow them to regroup! |

why not use high end long range persistent drones to track the movement of these terrorists. Anambra does not have a large land mass like the north. about 5 units of drones on air continously can keep track of what is happening on the ground while communicating with the security agencies. we need to use technology to take these fight to these fools. 4 Likes |

BRILLIANT! But the truth is: an average igbo man is in support of what IPOB and UGM are doing; and this fall under the-would-form selected INTEL PERSONALES and VIGILLANTES,., now tell me, after accomplishing an unsuccessful mission in the event that NAMDI KANU failed to be released, or their BIAFRA failed to come, what fate await SOUTH EAST region, and neigbouring regions, in the hands of THE recruited IPOB SYMPATHISERS!? This is my sincere thought on the matter. 1 Like |

@onumadu @tuborme,those in corridors of power must have ruminate on solution like this to bring boko Haram and banditry to an end. But what is in it for them, when they know adopting this will quickly end the crisis and at the same time bring an end to another corrupt enrichment enterprise 2 Likes |

onumadu:You no wan still get sense. After how many years in Afghanistan, the Almighty US ran tails between their legs despite the huge resources expended into the war. If you think that real life is movies whereby the antagonists have a finite number that can be decimated and the story ends in happy ever after. Wake up bro. Offensive against Niger delta militants didn't stop them until amnesty was used. Offensive hasn't stopped book haram. |

tuborme: Practicality is the game here, not fiction. If the country has such drones, bandits threatening to kill Kaduna train hostages would have since been eliminated. Especially given that they gave away their coordinates in the video they shared. 1 Like |

First time I saw a sincere post ... I love this so much ..if nelson Mandela and his great movement can be tagged a terrorist by the ruling Boers who is mnk and his ipob. Mahtama Gandhi was killed because he refused to stop terrorism A Congolese president ( name forgotten) against the Belgium harsh supremacism was charged with terrorism and was killed by hanging later he was acidated ...this is the world we live in, Igbos unite like in 1999 and destroy those political criminals |
Re: Insecurity In South East: Someone Suggested The Following Solutions by SisterFire(f): 7:29am On May 25, 2022 |

Re: Insecurity In South East: Someone Suggested The Following Solutions by marsman: 7:44am On May 25, 2022 |
SisterFire:First of all, it is your useless children that will praise the caged rat like a god Nelson Mandela did not treaten to kill, maim and burn other peoples property to achieve his own agenda, he wasn't a deranged man threatening violence on those who opposed him, He was a peaceful man who sought justice in a fair manner, not by killing his own people and ordering them to hunt public officials or the enterprises of people from other region who don't care about his struggle. He (nelson mandela) can only be compared to Martin Luther King. Kanu by contrast is sick in the head and violence oriented, people like that dont deserve to lead, at best he will be remembered like and revered as Abubakar Shekau |

The suggestion of the OP won't put an end to the menance of UGM. Absolute majority of Igbos are in support of IPOB. IPOB will have men among the vigilantes group. |
