I went for my interview last week and i was delayed.

My course is Curriculum and Instruction in BGSU and there was no funding. I was interviewed by the Korean VO in Abuja.

The challenge i have presently is i intend to go back but now I have a 25% scholarship from another school (University of Pittsburgh) and a different course (Social Work).

Now my question i hope it’s not a red flag to change course and can my sevis fee be transferred to another school?

Please how do I answer the question of what is your study plan
your response should go like this, I believe I know myself pretty well in terms of what works best for me while studying. I am a firm believer that quality study is far more effective than sitting down there reading for hours upon no end. Quality study involves writing down key learning points from each lessons. Also I have since discovered myself that I am more effective studying at evening time of the day during which my level of concentration and assimilation is always at is peak. So, I have already have plan in place to make sure that my studies are effective and utilize my time very well while at the university.

Asking for someone. For those who got denied within the past two months, how are you able to schedule another appointment? Is it through the regular option or the previously denied. His profile still shows your passport is still with the embassy since his interview. Could this be the reason why there's no appointments date on his profile. What's best way to go about it.
NB: his denial was due to misappropriation of information on its DS-160 form. Some vital information wasnt fill ( educational qualification)

Pls, I need an advice.
I used my uncle's (POF) based in US as sponsor to process my I20. When filling Ds160 form, can I change it to my Dad or use both. To boost my home ties.

How can I get this Mpower loan? Processes, application? Any info?

1. mpowerfinancing.com and check if your school is one of those they work with.

2. Start a new application. From the review app, you will be able to provide them with the needed info.

3. Check other resources on the platform and see other things you might need to do.

4. Make sure you have a bank statement that conforms with whatever amount you originally declared while working on the form. If you need to borrow, please do. Try to make your position look good.

5. Try to have your CV in the format they recommended. I don't think it's a big deal, but it makes their life easier.

6. You should get a decision in 5 days. If they need more info, your relationship manager will inform you about that.

When can you submit an application?

7. Before or after admission. Try to start early.

All the best!

Hi Everyone,
I have a question please,
I have previously been denied a b1/B2 visa (visiting visa) four years ago and I am applying for F1 visa. Please what effect will my previous application have on my F1 visa and also, I clicked on Yes to having a relative in the US in my previous application which I don’t and I want to click on No now because I actually don’t have a relative over there.

House what do you suggest I do please.

Thank you, I look forward to your responses.

In your previous application when you indicated that you have a relative in the US, what did you choose as your relative in the US status, and also how did you get a name to fill as your relative in the US, if sincerely you don'thave any relative in the US?

Study plan is simply the courses you will take, total credit hours, compulsory courses required to graduate etc. It should be on your department's program requirement page of your school's website.

A friend invited me, I choose him as relative because I thought it will facilitate the approval. We are not related in any way.

Hi guys,

Please, I have a question about sponsorship.

Will the school or embassy contact my sponsor?

Also, I have two options for my sponsor.

1. My aunty own an engineering company and she is ready to stand as my sponsor.

2. My father is the cordinator of a world bank/ government project and can write a sponsor letter for me stating that the project will sponsor me.

Which options do you think is the best?

Also, will the embassy or school contact the sponsors?

Donfide:
F1 Visa Approved.
Venue : Abuja.
Date: 23rd May , 2022.
Course: Corporate law,Commercial law and trade.
School: University of _______.
Funding: $33,000.
Deficit: 21,824.

My interview was just God showing his mercy and presence. I was very tensed prior to the interview. When I was in the queue, what was going through my mind was "I cannot travel all the way from my state to Abuja to collect coloured paper and go back". Whenever I see an interviewee coming out with a Green paper(rejected). My heart will start palpitating vehemently. I started singing 'Too faithful by Moses Bliss' to calm my mind. I was almost taken to the white man in window 9 who basically was in the business of denying people Visa before window 11 became free. (A beautiful American lady)

VO: Good morning. Pass me your documents (Whilst looking at me directly).
Me: Good morning. (Trying to sound confident and calm while passing the documents).
VO: Have you left Nigeria before?
Me: No ma, I haven't had a reason to leave Nigeria.
VO: (Conducts biometrics for me).
VO: What will this course do for you?
Me: Yes, I ...(rampages through my brain to get the answer). Asides the fact that I intend to establish my own corporate law firm in future and also have my master's degree in the course, I am currently working in the law firm of _____ at _____ , and the law firm intends to establish another corporate branch at ___ for which I have been singled out amongst others to head the department (She nods), therefore, I require and need every existing knowledge available in order for me to weather the challenges of the corporate world.
Having a master's degree will also at a geometric rate enhance my Curriculum vitae.
VO: There will be a promotion right?
Me: Sorry, I didn't hear you.
VO: promotion right? After the masters ?
Me: oh yes of course! Will be promoted to a Senior associate. (she smiles and nods)
VO: I went to this university, I am also a lawyer(points at my university on my I-20 and I know a brilliant professor there. (My tension reduced immediately and I tried to strike a conversation, "what's his name ma?". She says she doesn't remember but the prof doesn't work there anymore".
Vo: So I can see you have a funding of $33,000 , who will cover the rest?
Me: My uncle Mr.______,
VO: what does he do?
Me: He is into ____ and ____ and ____.
VO: okay I will be granting your visa, take this white paper which will serve as a etc. (didn't hear the rest).
(I took the white paper and smiled my way out through my face masks, from the building).

Tips:
-Get a good course in a good university that matches your degree.
-Prepare well! Believe your answers.
- Be confident while answering your questions, what did I say? Be confident, be almost loud , but not loud, i.e speak out! Soro soke o! If not, they might deny you with that bedroom voice you came with.
-Finally, pray very well! You may sing to calm your nerves.
Goodluck!! ✨.

Nothing spectacular about your interview

You were just lucky with Grace and favour

The only reason the VO approved your visa was because of the university you were going to which she attended and the fact that she is also a lawyer (two things in common with you)

My friend going for PHD got approved by the Korean guy in window 7 who was denying people back to back, the guy is a linguist and was going for his PHD in Asian Studies specializing in Korean languages. Coincidence that turned to favour

It’s Grace
