Do You Think Peter Obi Can Still Win 2023 Presidential Election With A New Party by kmaster007: 5:25pm On May 27, 2022
Former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, has withdrawn from the contest for the presidential ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He announced his withdrawal from the party’s primary in a letter dated May 24 and addressed to the National Chairman of the main opposition party, Senator Iyorchia Ayu.

Besides pulling out of the contest for the party’s presidential ticket barely three days to the exercise, the presidential aspirant also announced his resignation from the PDP.

He explained that he took the decision to leave the party because of his firm commitment to rescuing Nigeria, even if the route differs.

Although Obi said it was a great honour to contribute to nation-building efforts through PDP, he lamented that the recent developments within the PDP have made it practically impossible for him to continue participating and making such constructive contributions.

According to him, the nation’s challenges are deep-seated and require profound sacrifices towards rescuing the country.

The presidential aspirant informed the PDP chairman that he has since conveyed his resignation and withdrawal from the primary to the Chairman of Agulu Ward 2, his ward in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.

NATIONAL CHAIRMAN’S OFFICE Peoples Democratic Party RECEIVED Sign

Dear National Chairman,

I am writing to intimate you of my resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which was conveyed to the Chairman of Agulu Ward 2, Anaocha LGA, Anambra, effective Friday 20 May, 2022. Consequently, am by this letter informing you of my withdrawal for the PDP Presidential Primaries.

It has been a great honour to contribute to nation-building efforts through our party. Unfortunately, recent developments within our party make it practically impossible to continue participating and making such constructive contributions.

Our national challenges are deep-seated and require that we each make profound sacrifices towards rescuing our country. My commitment to rescuing Nigeria remains firm, even if the route differs.

I wish to thank you personally for your graciousness and leadership. I wish you well and best of luck in the service of country.

Do You Think Peter Obi Can Still Win 2023 Presidential Election With A New Party?
In my opinion: It is too late to create a new political party, not a good idea. Peter Obi should focus on 2027 instead. If he dares create a new political party, he will fail woefully even if he eventually get to AsoRock with it.
Any political party created for the purpose of taking over power, will surely fail on the long run just like APC. We all know the reason why the All Progressives Congress was hurriedly created, no proper planning, no vision and genuine mission. It was practically form one purpose, taking over power from PDP.
Obi made a mistake from the start. He shouldn’t have ran under corrupt PDP, party of bribery and corruption. He should have ceased the #EndSars momentum and form a strong party.
The good thing is that, Peter Obi resigned honorably. If he had attempted and fail the PDP primaries, it would have been embarrassing. Not too late though, but he will surely fail. Lesson learnt.
Guys what do you think?

Yes. He can win. There are alot of cracks in both APC and PDP. After the Primaries, the aggrieved members will come together to float a candidate. Also the smaller parties will merge to produce a candidate. Both the aggrieved members and smaller parties will come together to form a third force. Hopefully, they produce Peter Obi as their candidate. The third force will defeat both APC and PDP

Well, i choose to ask the question this way, can Nigeria survive another 8 years, without a new party and ideology?

If Nigerians want change bad enough, then yes he can.

If Nigerians want to suffer more for 8 years, then no.

But what ever the case is. Add 8 years to your current age, then become OBI-DIENT.

Thanks.

Presidential election is still 7 months away, the dynamics can change. Alignments, realignment, tradeoffs and coalitions will most likely shape next year's elections. In fact, the ongoing primaries (shambolic) has made it a possibility. You might see state actors working against the interests of so-called big parties. They may just have outlived their usefulness. Let's watch and see.

The election is not about Obi but about old people's way and modern ways of doing things. Obi victory is young people's victory.
