Lets assume your school fee is 1000gpb. And according to this link i gave you. It says rate for gbp in the blackmarket is 758. You can just add 20naira extra just incase. Worse comes to worse the excess will still be in ur barter.

So. Since you will now credit your barter with 778,000 naira being money for (1000gbp x 778)

It took exactly 1 month before they gave me offer, I applied last month and my Offer came last 2 weeks

I got the info that my consent letter has to include both of them. Now here's the thing; my birth certificate shows the names O-A and T-A for my parents. But the account name is O and C-T A. The account has an extra name(C) attached to it, my mums middle name.

Abeg, would this be an issue? Someone on a group I asked mentioned adding their marriage certificate to it as well. Would this suffice?

You should have discussed this with your friend first and confirm how much he/she is happy to receive in naira value.

At this point,if the person insist on black market rate what do you do?
Your options are limited,confirm how much the person is asking for in naira and if it is black market rate then you have to do the needful,if it is less than that then good

No it shouldn't be an issue, they are supposed to provide a cover letter for you, saying the funds are for your studies,in that cover letter they should address any discrepancies with the account name.

Yes but the 90days will usually be around your course start date not 3months before then.

I think this measure was during Covid when there were still restrictions on travel.i am sure they will soon adjust this back to the usual 30days time frame. We will see how it goes

Don't give yourself unnecessary high hopes.

Your visa vignette will usually be given around your course start date, then you need to travel,sort out accommodation,apply for NIN and start searching for jobs .

Before all these happens you are ready to enrol for your course.

Again should we talk about the visa delays with ongoing Ukraine issues.

If you concerned about cutting transport cost ,from
Maryland to IOM is trekkable, around 10 minute distance. So on highlighting at ojota ,just get a direct bus going to Maryland shouldn't cost you more than 100 naira .

When you enter Uk, you can pay one more fees through the bank. After its remitted to the school then fill a Form A for maintenance

There is a National Insurance Number.

You can work some unskilled jobs without it just by presenting your BRP for right to work checks but more "official" work and a lot of other things you may want to do will require it so the person you quoted is right in that people should apply for it ASAP.

There is NIN in UK also. Once you get BRP, you can get NIN. And some jobs require NIN too. Kindly find out. I
